The K Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Ukunda ward

The food is scrumptious and the Service Crew are very welcoming. I dined here recently but the experience was somewhat dampened by the owner who turned up with his son and he was in an obviously bad mood.

First he climbed the pavement as he parked and slammed his car door.

I was sitting by the verandah door which he slammed as he walked in to the restaurant. No "hello" or"hi".

Thereafter he began berating his staff which I witnessed through the window behind me. He made the Chef taste his dish and was making all sorts of negative comments.

Luckily, "Funky Monkey" next door was very upbeat and lifted my spirits.

As for the food, I'm no connoisseur of Korean cuisine but it was delicious. Initially, I thought the serving was too large but munched it all. Osom Bulgagi with octopus in lieu...

Don't you want at least one dinner in a nice, air-conditioned place without flies or smokers? As a Korean, I am proud to introduce this place that serves perfect Korean food.

Try Grilled Pork Belly (Samgyeobsal), dipped in a traditional Korean soybean paste, and wrapped in fresh vegetables. Mixing local beer, TUSKER with Korean liquor, SOJU. Bibimbap for vegetarians and Bulgogi for Muslims. Korean food basically uses a lot of vegetables, and various seasonings that you are not familiar with will delight you. ;)

I would recommend this place to anyone as it offers perfect K-food prepared by friendly staff at a very reasonable price.

I didn’t even finish my food before writing this review. The food was exceptional. Real Authentic Korean food… And at the Kenyan coast???!!! Truly amazing. Mandu was great. I recommend them all but be careful if you don’t eat pork (the meat Mandu is Pork) After that I had the bulgogi which was just exquisite. They even brought me ssamjang on request. The service is great, my server Emmanuel was great the supervisor Kyuong Kim was absolutely great too. I highly recommend. Please keep in Mind they don’t accept credit cards but there is an ATM around the corner. Thanks for blowing my taste buds away. Can’t wait...
