This unique restaurant, named after the Illyrian goddess who is the protector of farmers, forests and other parts of the natural world, appears to have taken an ethical stand on the circumstances in which its ingredients are grown, the quality of the food It prepares from these ingredients and serves to its customers.
It is ethical in so many ways : They use organic ingredients in their recipes. They help to educate the people who grow these ingredients on how to do so sustainably. They use refillable bottles for both still and sparkling water, rather than mindlessly create more unnecessary waste for the landfill. They freshly butcher their own meat on site.
Significantly, there is no smoking allowed indoors.
In addition, the cozy dining room is situated to allow you to interact intimately with the staff, and directly observe the people who are cooking in the kitchen. It's really quite entertaining and comfortable.
Most importantly, the food is complex, creatively made, and so delicious. I'm looking forward to trying other items from the menu upon my return. Oh yes, their menu is written in Albanian, but can be easily decoded with...

The ambiance is intimate, cozy, and warm, perfect for savouring each dish in a relaxed yet refined setting. What truly set this restaurant apart was the attention to detail in every course. Read more"Thana" restaurant, named after the Illyrian god who protects crops and forests, located in the heart of Pristina, is an experience that is not only culinary. With a relatively modern interior combined with traditional Albanian elements, it offers a very comfortable environment. The service was to be applauded, the gentleman who served us gave us a presentation of the restaurant, quite special was the painting of the Redon in one of the domes of the restaurant. We took the chef's menu which consisted of 7 dishes, where every ingredient was local, from Kosovo and Albania, each dish offered complex, authentic flavors and presented so beautifully. The menu changed twice a month depending on the seasonal products. I would like to highlight the homemade ravioli and the goose breast dish. They were careful to offer us coffee and a homemade brandy. I congratulate you for the love and...
