We recently visited the Royal Deccan Palace Restaurant in Salmiya for iftar with our family, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and treated to complimentary items such as fresh fruits, pakoda, and juice, setting a delightful tone for the evening.
Our meal began with two servings of Mutton Haleem, which were superbly tasty and perfectly spiced. The Apologies Fish was another highlight, with its delicious flavor and tender texture. The Royal Deccan Chicken was juicy and flavorful, while the Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, making it a favorite among our group.
The Shami Kebab stood out as outstanding, with its perfect blend of spices and tender meat. Both the Mutton and Chicken Biryani were awesome, each dish bursting with aromatic flavors and cooked to perfection. The tea served was fantastic, providing a comforting and refreshing end to our meal.
For dessert, we enjoyed the Gulab Jamun, which was gooey and sweet, rounding off our iftar experience on a high note. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and the service was impeccable, making us feel valued and well-cared for throughout our visit.
In conclusion, our experience at the Royal Deccan Palace Restaurant was truly memorable. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere made it a perfect choice for iftar with family. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining...
Read moreWe had our dinner here yesterday and were warmly welcomed by the staff. We opted for the cabin seating, which was cozy and comfortably accommodated our group of four.
However, the service was a bit slow — there was a delay in taking our order and we had to wait some time even after requesting hot water.
Here's what we ordered:
Tandoori Chicken (Full): Perfectly cooked and flavorful. A definite highlight.
Plain & Butter Naan: Soft and well-prepared.
Chicken Afghani: We requested it medium spicy, but it wasn’t spicy at all. The taste was good, but the portion seemed small for the price.
Prawns Masala: Again, we ordered it medium spicy, but it lacked spice. The taste was nice, though the quantity felt insufficient considering the cost.
Mint Lemon Drink: Refreshing, but felt overpriced compared to similar restaurants.
The food quality was good overall, but there’s room for improvement in a few key areas:
Ensure that the spice levels match customer requests.
Review portion sizes in relation to pricing.
Improve service speed and attentiveness.
This restaurant is worth a visit, and we hope to see improvements on our next visit. Wishing the team all the best — we will...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely delicious and worth every bite! I’ve ordered from Royal Deccan Restaurant, Salmiya three times in the past two weeks — and even visited the place in person — that’s how good it is!
Their Chicken and Mutton Biryani are both spot on — generous portions, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. The Mutton Haleem is rich and authentic, full of flavor. I also highly recommend the Khatti Daal and Tala Hua Ghost — comforting and full of that traditional Hyderabadi taste. Don’t miss out on the Double Ka Meetha to end your meal on a sweet note!
The ambience is cozy and very clean, and the staff are extremely courteous and welcoming. Whether you’re dining in or ordering at home, the quality and consistency are impressive. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Hyderabadi food in...
