A 24/7 bar attached to a casino. You can get some decent beer for a relatively good price and other drinks don't break the bank either. But don't come here for a romantic dinner.
They heat pizza slices in a plastic bag and proudly slide the slice on to your plate, with the water and fat from the plastic bag dripping. Also lasagna (or whatever it was) is taken from the freezer on demand, put in to an oven for 5 minutes and served. Luckily I didn't have to eat these delicacies, but the people I saw that did, didn't finish their portions.
We were standing in front of the bar counter for 10 minutes, before the workers paid any attention to us - each had to wait the 10 minutes, one by one, with a few others making their orders successfully in the middle ....

Where technically it seems a driving license isn't a valid form of ID for alcohol purchase in Latvia, after visiting Latvia many times, I haven't had any issues in any other bar. This would just be an annoying inconvenience, but instead, the bar staff were particularly rude about the situation.
The bar was completely empty, they were clearly making no money that night, and they turned away the only two customers... Make it make sense...
If they wanted to insist on passport only - that's fine, at least show some politeness. But instead, the bar staff's attitude was particularly rude.
