Pre-ordering

We chose this place as a compromise, since a trip to Riga to celebrate birthday was not an option. We booked a table in advance and pre-ordered a cake. After placing the order, we received a call: lady explained all the options in detail, advised on flavors, and offered several solutions. In the end, we decided on a heart-shaped cake decorated with dulce. Even at this stage, I felt the care and attention to detail — it really felt like they wanted the celebration to be special.

Quick and delicious: appetizers and starters

When we arrived at the restaurant, I immediately ordered all the appetizers and main dishes. Despite the tables filling up quickly, our order arrived very promptly. We tried dolma, eggplants, and khachapuri — and the khachapuri was simply unbeatable: plenty of cheese, less bread, and every bite was a delight. The dolma was also very tasty, fresh, and flavorful. Eggplants was also good.

Perfect combination of hot dishes

Next came the hot dishes: lamb and the “Yerevan Pandok” with beef and eggplants in sauce. I’ve had this dish before — and it always delights. The meat and eggplants were cooked perfectly, and the sauce created a harmonious, rich combination. The lamb was juicy and delicious, the portion generous, adding a cozy, celebratory touch.

Celebration with dessert

Then they brought the cake with a garland and a candle and wished a happy birthday. The mousse cake was excellent — on par with the best mousse cakes: balanced flavor, not overwhelmed with sugar. The white layer with a raspberry filling created a light and pleasant harmony of tastes. It was incredibly tasty and touching — a moment that will be remembered for a long time. Seeing the joy of a loved one in such moments is priceless.

AVOID AT ANY COST!!! Supposed to have a lovely dinner at a lovely place. Unfortunately it was completely destroyed!!! Ordered a chicken OMG stinky,old,tasteless its was. As you can see from my pictures I returned full dish as it had a horrible taste. Do you think anybody offered me a replacement dish or asked if I would like anything else???NO!!! Waitress tried all the way round explained me,that it's my fault only if I don't like it.Guys,customers fault that chicken has horrible taste,really???Ok,never wanted arguing.... 4* represent combined score of 2 visits: 1st visit - great experience, amazing food and impeccable service. I would rate hurdzin the tastiest dish of the recent years. Would give 5 stars and recommend to anyone without a question. Visited on Monday. 2nd visit - food was good, but not amazing. Foodwise it would be 4 stars. Ambience - although we reserved the table, we had to wait a bit and finally got a table in the corner of the tent without any view, so ambience was on a lower end. What was the most dissapointing - we asked to repeat kizil (armenian liquor) and we got some vodka. Noted this to the waiter who, after checking with the kitchen, said it was kizil. Well, it wasn't.
