A whole vibe — not just a bar, but an experience.
While wandering through the cobblestone streets of Old Riga, I stumbled across Andante Vinyl Bar — and I’m so glad I did. I came back the very next day right when they opened because I had to experience it properly.
The ambiance is incredible — lit candles on every table, fresh flowers, and walls lined with vinyls. The space has this cozy, intentional feel that immediately invites you to slow down and settle in. Music is played on actual turntables, and when I arrived, Eminem’s The Eminem Show was spinning. The bartender, Eliza, told me that she had just returned after some time off and Eminem and Kendrick Lamar were the newest arrivals — so that’s what she put on. And honestly? Perfect choice.
I ended up sitting there for nearly 3 hours, listening to full albums (no skips!): 🎶 Eminem – The Eminem Show 🎶 Michael Jackson – Off the Wall 🎶 Amy Winehouse – Back to Black
I had two Paloma mocktails that were refreshingly good, and a few bowls of the crispiest, most delicious potato chips I’ve ever tasted. Simple, but somehow unforgettable.
Eliza was kind, attentive, and clearly loved what she did — it came through in the energy she brought to the space. She wasn’t just serving drinks, she was curating the vibe.
Whether you’re a music lover, a solo traveler looking for a place to be still, or just someone who appreciates a beautifully designed bar with soul — this place is it. I’ll definitely be back before I...

Andante is an incredible spot! Music is played exclusively on a turntable from an impressive collection of records spanning the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s. You can even pick a record to be played, which adds a personal touch to the experience. The atmosphere is unbeatable—relaxed, fun, and nostalgic.
Amy, the bartender, is phenomenal! Her cocktails are expertly crafted, and she creates such a welcoming, fun vibe. The snacks are top-notch, with highlights like the meat and cheese board, breaded shrimp, and olives. They also have a great coffee menu if you’re in the mood for something non-alcoholic.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves great music, excellent drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere. Can’t...
Read moreWhat a fabulous bar in a quiet location steps from the hustle-and-bustle of the tourist area in Old Town. It is on the small-ish side (intimate) inside and has 4 tables outside. It has a clean look and very relaxed vibe on a narrow street. It is decorated with fresh flowers everywhere that added to the chill-vibe. I dropped-in for a drink (not a meal) and stayed for several. The music selection is beyond terrific and everything is played from an ALBUM!! This took me back to my youth, and there is something to be said for a good sound-system and spinning vinyl! The two beautiful ladies working were warm, knowledgable, inviting, energetic and enhanced what was already a relaxed and wonderful afternoon. Thank you ladies for a fabulous afternoo. I...
