This vegeterian(has LOTS of vegan options) cafeteria is really what dreams are made of. The food is incredibly good and as incredibly cheap. As you go in, the staff get a tray for your food that might resemble one that prisoners in jail eat off of but do not fear, the food is full of flavour and it feels like there's this peaceful but fun party going on in your mouth. The staff person asks you what you'd like and you just point a finger to what looks good to you or read the names of the foods off of the little cards infront of you. If you come here, definitely try the vegetable ''meatball''-it is truly amazing. The furniture is old fashioned and the whole place isn't fancy but I was told that's just them being loyal to their philosphy of not paying attention to material things, which I definitely agree with in this case, since the food causes an incredible amount of excitement every time I go there for a meal. I've always found this place to be a reliable choice. The standout features for me are the diverse menu options and the unique flavors that are a bit hard to find elsewhere in Riga. It's been a favorite of mine since childhood, and it's remained consistently good over the years.
They offer a good range of main courses, vegetarian options like cutlets and fritters, along with tasty sauces, salads, desserts, and pastries. Personally, I often go for the soy goulash and the green beans with Indian nuts, I also recommend the cheese fried in nori. Plus, the prices are reasonable, typically falling between 5-10€, which is great value for what you get.
Overall, it's a solid choice for vegetarian dining, and I always enjoy revisiting...
