The food was delicious but our host Denize was very very rude. When my partner and I walked in she immediately said that we couldn't pay separately. This is not a problem as I was planning on paying for the both of us. She forgot to give us the menu's, the other girl (with blond hair) noticed and apologised. We didn't mind as this can happen. At 21:30 we were still finishing up our meal and Denize gave us our check and asked how we wanted to pay. This felt rude as we weren't ready yet and hadn't asked to pay yet. The two tables next to us had finished their meal and their table was cleaned but weren't asked to pay. I agreed to pay and then she told us to pay separately. At this point she was extremely rude. Not only did she say that we couldn't pay separately when we walked in and we agreed. When I told her that I want to pay the whole meal at once she rolled her eyes and didn't show me the receipt before I paid.
I'm not sure why she treated us differently from the other guests. It's unfortunate as the food was really good, but we don't want to come back to this...
Read moreI really don't understand where all the good reviews come from - I really don't. I've tried this place 3 times now, and while some of the sauces are ok, it pretty much stops there. A 'king prawn' curry here consists of 4 small 'king prawns' swimming in an ocean of mediocre sauce. The lamb rogan - the meat was awful - tasted far from fresh and was extremely fatty. The naan (the thinnest I've ever seen) was both cold on arrival (despite being 300 metres down the road and delivered immediately - I'm on crutches at the moment) and rock solid - completely unappetizing. I gave the restaurant 'right of reply' before posting a review: they were apologetic in some respects, however confirmed a main-course serving is 4 small prawns (how?), and regarding the naan, and I quote, "sometimes in a takeaway, the naan does get hard when cold, it simply needs to be reheated." If I reheated it, it would have disintegrated! Anyway, in summary I recommend you go elsewhere if you want 1) decent portion sizes 2) 'authentic' Indian food 3) a place that cares about...
Read moreMy mother and I went to have lunch here a few times over the last week. The first two times we had lunch the food was excellent as was the service which is why we kept returning. We went today to have the business lunch and the main course was inedible. The flavor tasted off as did the rice which only a day prior had been amazing. We asked them if we could exchange the main course for something else to which we were told there are no substitutions allowed. We were forced to pay for a meal that we were unable to eat and the way in which the matter was handled makes us not want to return to this establishment in the future. This is very unfortunate as the first few times were great as I mentioned but sometimes all it takes is one really unpleasant experience that results in the loss of customers for good. The below photo is the meal that we had to pay for which we...
