Ni Café is a restaurant known for its pleasant ambiance and amiable staff. However, despite our explicit request for gluten-free options (found on their menu) due to severe health concerns (I have been following a strict gluten free diet for the past 5 years), a mishap occurred during our visit to the Ni Café ABC Achrafieh branch. Both my friend and I, who are gluten intolerant, ordered gluten-free pizza and spaghetti, ensuring with the manager that they are 100% gluten free and would be prepared separately to avoid cross-contamination (the manager guaranteed this). Regrettably, we later discovered that we had been served regular dishes containing gluten due to a mistake made by the waiter. Despite the staff's efforts to rectify the situation, the damage was done, resulting in a severe reaction on my part, including severe body and stomach aches, bloating, inflammation and generalized weakness and fatigue for several days (my friend also felt very ill afterwards) This restaurant is not safe nor does adequately cater to the needs of individuals with celiac disease or non-celiac gluten...
Read moreWe decided to try Ni cafe at ABC Verdun, as the host team warmly welcomed us and promptly seated us. However, our overall dining experience was marred by several service issues. Initially, we were served a chipped plate and a dirty soy jar (Picture available) , but we decided to overlook these mishaps, assuming they were unintentional.
Unfortunately, things did not improve as the food service continued. The waiter brought us the wrong order, and instead of rectifying the mistake, they left it on the table. The salad was served after the main course, which disrupted the flow of the meal. The Grilled Salmon served cold, Moreover, when we requested a bottle of water, they only provided one glass instead of the two we needed, despite multiple reminders.
Despite raising these issues with the staff, it seemed that our concerns were not taken seriously, leaving us disappointed with our overall experience.
We hope that the management can address these service lapses to ensure a more enjoyable and satisfying experience for...
Read moreAs a loyal customer of the Verdun branch, I was stunned by the poor quality at the ABC Ashrafieh location. Nearly every dish disappointed, making this one of my worst dining experiences with the brand.
• Bread: Served stale. When we asked for fresh, they just reheated the same batch—worse than before. • Burrata: Bland and flavorless. • Eggplant Parmigiana: So tough we had to send it back. • Pizza: Tasted like a low-effort attempt, far from restaurant quality. • Sushi: Served too cold. • Burger & Fries: Bun was stale, fries were cold. • Truffle Piccata Pasta: Sauce was watery and unpleasant.
To make matters worse, the manager admitted the burrata quality had changed and agreed with most of my feedback. That honesty is appreciated—but it confirms the decline is known and unaddressed.
I truly hope the Verdun branch hasn’t followed the same path. It’s been a while since I visited, but it was always my go-to when I wanted a proper meal. Sadly, I can’t recommend the Ashrafieh branch based on...
