Roadster Diner — Restaurant in Ras Beirut

Avoid this branch. I don’t know why but the kitchen here closes at 8 PM. Really? I went there and I wanted to try the new menu. I ordered DC chicken, they said there’s no BBB sauce but I said it’s okay just put honey mustard. Ten minutes later, they come back and tell me there’s no DC chicken at all. I say ok then I’ll order four cheese pasta. Again, 10 minutes later they come back and tell me sorry there’s no penne, would tagliatelle be fine? I said no. Then I asked for a burger, they said that they don’t have buns. After that I asked, then what do you have? They said they have sandwiches and salads. Then I ordered a chicken sandwich. While I was waiting for my food, my friends had finished their food. And then I finally received my order. Sandwich was average. Bread was very tough to bite and there could have been more flavor to the sandwich when it comes to sauces. Also side salad didn’t have any dressing. And bathroom was dirty and didn’t have any tissues. I’m never going to this...

The place is going downwards: Last time i ordered only a dessert and my work is just next to you guys, it took you exactly 39 min to deliver although you informed me it will be delivered less than 30 minutes. Today, i came with 2 clients from foreign country and 2 colleagues to this place, noone received us. We sat on the table, noone came until we called them after 10 min. Noone came to take the order until we called them. Previously the waiters were more friendly and professional and smiling. I dont know what happened. They all seemed careless. It was exactly at 1:15pm. And last thing, the chocolate melt was a piece of art, now it is a piece of trash. I threw it in the garbage as it tasted like a sponge. Regards. The food has improved over the last few months with some great salads on the menu. What let's this place down is the erratic service. Sometimes it’s pretty good, but many times we have been in, the service was shockingly poor. Last night we had to wait for an eternity for a plate of nachos, and then we had another ridiculously long wsit for the mains (nothing fancy - just a salad and a burger). I complained to a server that we had been waiting for ages for our food, he said he would look into it but then he just messed around wiping a table without even going near the kitchen. The place was not even busy. We have used this place quite a lot since arriving in Beirut 14 months ago, but we won’t be in the future if the service does...
