I recently visited Samarkand, and overall, it was a great experience. The food was incredible, with rich flavors and a nice variety of dishes that really showcased the best of Central Asian cuisine. New favorite place in Vilnius. Super authentic location, with a really big space a big table to welcome groups. Broad menu with Uzbek and central Asian meals. Manty and samsa were super tasty, I really recommend to try. Plov and lagman were also tasty and portion were really generous. Main dish are between 7 to 9 euros. There is different meal including soups, vegetarian options and meat. The service was quick and the waitress super friendly and helpful. After having a meal here I’m very confused by all the 1-star ratings. For me and my group, the good was delicious and the portion sizes were good. Our waiter was very friendly and helped us a lot since we didn’t speak Russian or Lithuanian.

I do have to say that the atmosphere and interior is a bit strange. I suppose it converts easily to a party venue with a big dance floor- but as a restaurant space it’s not cozy or warm. It feels like a fancy cafeteria...
