The Town Steakhouse — Restaurant in Vilnius

In September, I and 3 friends went there for a dinner. Ordered squid rings for appetizer, they were not cooked enough and rubbery. Also bland in taste. For mains we ordered pork ribs (too much fat), duck (overcooked and dry) and salmon (which was the best compared to others). Every dish was too sweet, you can feel honey, orange, mango..it was overpowering taste. Dishes look good, but it does not taste good. Service was not good also, waiter was grumpy and not even listen to orders. Few times he came back to ask if we ordered exactly that. Also, he was a bit rude, we asked to open window (doors), because it was very hot and we wanted some fresh air. He did opened a little bit and situation did not change, I asked if he mind opening the one near our table , he replied: " is the previous one is not enough? I have already opened that for you". Ordered the ribeye and grilled vegetables. Food arrived within 10 minutes cooked exactly to order. The steak was delicious and just what I hoped for. They gave me a green peppercorn sauce that added a unique flair with the steak. Once I added the sauce, it paired well with the Cabernet Sauvignon. This may seem insignificant, but the olive oil and balsamic vinegar they served with the bread were definitely top quality. It's an indicator that this place is all about great flavor and ingredients in everything they serve. For dessert, I tried the chocolate fondant paired with the port wine they have. Probably the most attentive staff I’ve seen in Lithuania, I have dined here on separate important occassions (anniversary, birthday, company dinner, goodbyes before a leaving for a long time, etc) just because I know my guests will enjoy their time here. The food is great, nobody laughed at me when I asked for “bacon mashed potatoes with no bacon”, the steak, the duck, the octopus and the lamb is always cooked right, the fish appetizers are always fresh, the worlds most tender chicken wings are always a hit and idk I just cannot praise this...
