This place has a massive menu with something for everyone. Some of the items they didn't have, but for the most part, they have what you need. My family visited Magnolia Restaurant three times over the course of our long journey, and every time we were satisfied. The only time service was subpar was when we ate upstairs... we thought it would be cooler, which it wasn't, and they tend to forget to check those areas from what I can tell. Prices are a bit steep compared to other restaurants in the area, but well worth it since this place can get quite busy. The service is super friendly, especially once we returned multiple times. The bread on the banh mi was so fresh, and the pickles played with a perfect acidity with the sauce they used. The meats tender and the herbs delightful. Now, their banh xeos are massive, and the platter set comes with a lot of food. It goes well with the stir-fry morning glory since the meat in the banh xeo isn't seasoned enough. I can not recall my last meal here, but it too was delightful. This place is worth the visit if you are close by, and remember to tip your staff.

We came in for dinner with a party of 17 people. The food here is decent at best. Just not a lot of flavor but the service was pretty good. It took a long time for our whole chicken to come out. I ordered the shrimp fried rice, an order of their spring rolls which are like the size of a pinky but you get a decent amount and bunch of other things. So we got everything we ordered and by the time we were all done eating we were still waiting on the chicken. Overall it’s “mid” in the young people’s slang back in the states. It’s my first time coming here and coming to Phnom Penh but the food is okay and the service is fairly good. Cleanliness is still somewhat better than a good chunk of the places I’ve seen around Cambodia so far. As a reminder just be weary on drinking ice anywhere out here. Especially for first time travelers from the states. It’s something my family had always warned me about before coming here.

I googled ‘nice Vietnamese restaurant’ near me and this came up not far from my hotel. Called them to make a booking and it was easy. Arrived there, discovered indoors and outdoors actually is not much difference. Indoors no aircon only fan. The menu was extensive. In the find, my husband and I decided on the ‘hot stone special pho’ and rice paper shrimp spring rolls costing USD5 Parts if the spring roll was really thick and chewy( it’s been wrapped and kept for a long time) The presentation of the ‘hot stone pho’ was impressive, however, the raw beef that came with it was chewy and tough. The meat in the soup had bits of tripe, rib, bones, tendon( tough and hard). We really tried to love this place but find it hard to. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. It was a Sunday evening and I must say, the restaurant is busy so it must be good. How’s er, from what we ordered. I was not exactly impressed.

I got experienced with dirt in the food.. will never come here again. Salad had not clean and had dirt in it .. a muddy salad for you to eat?.... No responsibility from the restaurant... No apology had been made by any staff... Don't care what you had in dish and your health.. a staff took the dish away with a lied word that he send to manager but he didn't do that by leaving it behind the corner.. Witnessed by friends about this issue and we all felt disappointed. I have been here for many times and introduced to many people but this time will be the last one.

One of the surprise of being in Phnom Penh is discovering Vietnamese pancake! I like how the pancake fried and come in large size crunchy batter with meat and beansprouts fillings in the center. The dish is served in large basket of fresh vegetables like salad without cook. My favourite way to eat salad! The peanut sweet sauce is nice without being too sweet. However the missing 1 star is because some of the Vege didn't look so fresh anymore. Other than that, it was a memorable dish which I will surely look for again here or in Vietnam.

Had lunch with colleagues here the other day. I ordered the special beef Pho and the group ordered two banh chao sets. Didn’t enjoy my pho, the broth was quite bland and the bits of sliced beef were tough to chew on. It was served in a large bowl but just didn’t hit the spot. The banh chao sets were great however. So much food and the pancakes were tasty and filling. Staff were attentive and came around to top up tea regularly. The colonial building is quite airy with open space. Overall a comfy dining environment.
