The Indian Restaurant That Changed My Mind (and Won My Heart)
I’ll admit it — I used to dislike Indian food. Too spicy, too messy, too complicated. But then I discovered this Indian gem in BKK1, and now? Let’s just say I’ve fully converted… as long as it’s butter chicken.
Every time we go, we order the same winning combo: 🥘 Butter Chicken – rich, creamy, flavorful without being too spicy 🍚 Saffron Rice – soft, fragrant, and the perfect balance to the curry 🍞 Naan – fresh, warm, and ideal for scooping every last bit of sauce
And here’s a nice touch: as soon as you sit down, they bring a free snack — some crispy crunchy bread (I still don’t know what it’s called, but I love it) with two sauces: a spicy green chutney and a sweet tamarind sauce that’s my personal favorite. It’s small, but adds a lovely, welcoming feel.
💵 We usually spend around $25 total, and honestly? It’s more than enough for two people. Sometimes we even end up taking food home because the portions are so generous.
✨ The restaurant itself is clean, quiet, and stylish — a calm little escape in the middle of BKK1. Whether you’re dining in or doing takeaway, the service is always friendly and professional.

Final thoughts: ✔️ This place turned me from “no Indian food ever” to “can we get butter chicken again?” ✔️ Flavorful food, generous portions, good value ✔️ Great for couples, friends, or even solo dinners ✔️ Small details (like the welcome snack) make it feel special
Definitely one of my favorite comfort food spots...

We was unhappy with the service. The waiter only provided us menu card of drinks. We struggled to call the waiters as all of them was on their work & did not face us. At last manage to order drinks, I was about to say lime juice with no sugar and he only listened lime juice & told me to wait and left, came a while later with iced lime juice. He was lucky that the lime juice wasn’t sweet at all so I’m okay with it. I was curious that he actually took my order when he stopped me and said wait but back with the drinks. After taking drinks order he eventually gave us the food menu I was like why can’t just give us both menus at same time? My husband was shocked when he just pulled the menu which was under my husband’s hand without saying excuse me. The food came, no cutlery on table come on.. when I asked for it the waiter gave my husband and left and where’s mine??
Thank goodness that the food was delicious so I didn’t make a scene there.
Team, please improve your service. Show some smile to your customers, you guys giving us face as if we owed you guys thousands. I would maybe try the other Namaste branch and stick to whichever gives me good service as I...
Read moreA very authentic Indian restaurant in the center of Cambodia. From the decor, waiters, atmosphere to the food, it totally feels like being in India. When I came to Cambodia for the first time, I accidentally chose this Indian restaurant one night, and I was very lucky not to miss it.
Food part: Appetizers: We ordered the famous Indian snack: Pani Pori. The fried skin and special sauce make it really special to eat together. Very straightforward to try. Price: around USD 4~6.
The main meal part: The curry and naan part surprised me very much. This time I ordered the butter naan, which were very tasty. The aroma of butter and the crispness of the scones are a perfect combination. For curry, we ordered two different chicken curries, both of which are spicy and go well with naan.
Overall, the taste is very authentic and spicy enough. The price is about USD15-20 per person. It won't be very expensive. I will definitely try it again next time I...
