Satay Raf Malik — Restaurant in Adda Heights

Satay Raf Malik offers a casual, camping-style setup with outdoor seating, which is quite relaxing. However, this was my second time visiting, and I’ve decided it will be my last. On my first visit, I tried the Korean chicken, satay, and hot drinks, but unfortunately, none of it tasted good, including the drinks.

On my second visit, as soon as I opened my car door, I was hit with a strong sewage smell, which worsened when the wind blew. Even sitting far from the entrance didn’t help. I ordered the Nasi Goreng Raf Malik, but it wasn’t worth it—honestly, I couldn’t believe how poorly it was cooked. The price was surprisingly high, almost on par with Secret Recipe, yet the quality didn’t match.

The worst part? The sewage smell was coming from a sewage plant right next to the Korean chicken stall. It’s shocking to have food prepared next to such a place. I won’t be returning—two visits are more...

We went for supper thus only ordered 2 drinks and 10 sticks of satay. Service staffs were all friendly and welcoming, we were even offered an additional stick of satay for free. We enjoyed that their satay are real meaty and lesser in fats. 👍🏼👍🏼 Drinks have room for improvement. Had Ice Bandung, could be less sweet (although we understand that it depends personally as some might love it sweet). Had Ice Horlicks but didn’t quite suit our likings either. It cost us RM22 thereabout in total. Environment were well clean and comfortable without files attack. Plus staffs friendliness maintained throughout till we left after payment. Great satays, though I have tasted better ones at cheaper price. This is not your usual Kelantan place, so the price of food is quite mid-range. But the nasi lemak, mee goreng, nasi goreng, roti canai etc are nice.

July 2023: Ordered the mee goreng again because previous experience was great, ended up disappointed. Mee goreng was salty and tasted like it was doused with kicap. I take away 2 stars because the food quality is...
