DISGRACE TO MY COUNTRY
Well... I arrived at this restaurant very hungry and very excited to try the much praised food of all the reviews I had previously seen. It was about 6 pm when I arrived, me and my boyfriend ordered the following dishes
ravioli ( he had pesto sauce and I had tomato sauce) milanese pizza with arugula and ham
When the ravioli came I knew exactly what to expect, these did not look at all like the “home made “ ravioli described in the reviews, the sauce tasted so artificial that I wouldn’t be surprised if it was PREGO sauce. I sent all my ravioli back without even touching them, and when the waiter asked if there was something wrong with the dish I clearest said that it was no good,
The Milanese was an offense to my country! We had just came back from a two month vacation in Italy, eating plenty of authentic Milanese, this didn’t even look like one. For the ones that might not know Milanese is a THIN piece of meat ( usually lamb, pork or chicken) that has been FLATTENED, COATED IN BREADCRUMBS AND PARMESAN and FRIED IN BUTTER!!!!!! The one presented in front of us at this restaurant wasn’t even coated in anything, was simply a pork chop! ( don’t write Milanese if you don’t know what it is)
The pizza was dough was not left to raise long enough, was acidic, not digestible and undercooked. Had one slice and left it for the kitchen to enjoy! The ham on top was not ham, maybe American style ham...
Anyways we left unsatisfied, hungry and with a bill of 260 rm for some terrible food.
I don’t blame by any means the waiters of the kitchen staff that was not italian and could have not knows, but the owner that is a disgrace to my country!
If you are going to call your restaurant Coppola’s Family style Italian restaurant or whatever make sure that. What you serve is up to the standards not something I could find better at the premade section of a supermarket!
And this is for the owner :
Se apre un ristorante all’estero e crede di essere furbo solo perché le persone del posto non conoscono il vero sapore del cibo si sbaglia di grosso! Forse il 90% penserà che il suo cibo sia buono machi se ne intende sa benesimo che il suo cibo è un’offesa all’italia ed ai cittadini italiani. Con questo concludo la mia recensione e vado a postarl su altri social media, perché la gente deve sapere cosa si...
Read moreRestaurant is beautiful and food is good and portion is relatively generous but BEWARE of a particular bespectacled Filipino waitress who takes order ..very eager to take order but totally no product knowledge at all, just want to sell, desperate to sell...and only the expensive or not the most expensive ones on the menu. We told her it was our first time at this restaurant, we asked her what was their best seller, she said steak! First thing that came to our mind was 'why the best seller in an Italian restaurant is steak and when there are also lighted up signs on the walls outside this restaurant that says the 'handmade pasta'? And she could not explain why, just kept quiet. Oh then we realised it's the most expensive mains (for individual). Then when we asked her which pasta would she recommend, she said a name, we realised it's seafood pasta and once again, the most expensive on the pasta list! She did it again! She also did not advise us on the quantity of their servings. It was only my hubby and I. We ended up with a family size pizza, 2 mains and 1 Caesar salad and in the end when my husband asked her if there's anything else he should order, she continued to recommend without stopping us. She recommended meat balls and still could ask if we wanted the 2 or 4 piece ones. It's appetizers but the size of each meat ball is quite big , it's like a small but thick burger patty . When she repeated our order, she still didn't advise us on reviewing our order like letting us know their quantity of their servings. The dishes soon filled up our whole table. When I asked her why didn't she advise us on our order, she just told me that I could take away if we could not finish our food. Well, I guess she doesn't understand that it's not a matter of that.
Trying to just make the sale, boosting your sales figures doesn't do justice to your food and especially not fair to those who put in so much effort to cook. Supposed to be a great dining experience but ended up leaving with takeaways instead on...

I personally like several restaurants under this restaurant group. They have Western restaurants, mainly Italian pizza, some pasta and steak, Mexican restaurants jyst next door, Turkish restaurant, and recently introduced the Greek restaurant. The advantage is that each restaurant is next to each other, so you don't have to run around looking for it. The restaurant is located in the quiet and peaceful environment of Horizon Hill, not at the noisy place of the city centre or the crowds of tourists. If it is a weekend or a long holiday, I suggest tabt to make a reservation by phone in advance. It has a unique romantic atmosphere. It is a good atmosphere for chatting while enjoying the food. I remember that we tried their Middle Eastern food - Turkish food with our children in November last year. Although we don't come here often, we will patronize it several times a year. So far, their food and service have not disappointed us. Tonight, we will have their pizza, which we haven't tried for a long time. Pizza is grilled in a kiln with wood. Today, we ordered a smoked salmon pizza. We chose a thin and crispy pizza crust. The soft cheese after baking melts in your mouth, and the milky aroma is matched with the rich taste of salmon meat without a fishy smell. The soft lighting atmosphere makes the taste buds more open. Another Greek-style fresh grilled cuttlefish, which is a little different from the ones in the market. The cuttlefish's internal organs are removed and paired with some pickled spices. Elastic cuttlefish meat and some salad vegetables. Moreover, the front desk manager cut the hot cuttlefish and added seasonings in front of us, which is fresh and simple. Such a dinner for two made us eat with relish until we were full. Good food should be paired with fragrant red wine or cocktails, which is not only a taste bud enjoyment but also a memory. Although the price is not ordinary, it is proportional to its food level...
