Stepping into Cafe Anatolia at Horizon Hills in Johor is like entering a culinary oasis. The ambiance immediately envelops you in a warm embrace, setting the stage for a dining adventure that's both exciting and comforting.
The food is a revelation of freshness, each dish bursting with the rich, authentic flavors of the Middle East. As a famous Middle Eastern saying goes, "A good meal soothes the soul as it regenerates the body." This is precisely the experience at Cafe Anatolia. The portions are not just substantial; they are a celebration of abundance and hospitality.
Service is a blend of efficiency and warmth. Some staff may seem transactional, but their fast service and attention to detail speak of professionalism. It’s a seamless dance of hospitality that enhances the dining experience.
The Mezza Platter is an array of tantalizing appetizers, each bite a discovery of new flavors. The Shawarmas are a symphony of spices and tenderness, encapsulating the essence of Middle Eastern cuisine. The Pide, with its perfect crust and rich toppings, is a must-try. For dessert, the Milk Pudding is an epitome of smoothness, and the Baklava, a sweet, flaky, nutty indulgence, is not just food but a celebration of culture.
In summary, my experience at Cafe Anatolia was nothing short of extraordinary. It’s a culinary journey that I recommend to anyone in Johor seeking authentic flavors. With its fresh food, generous portions, and exceptional service, this cafe is a gem. The Mezza Platter, Shawarmas, Pide, Milk Pudding, and Baklava are not just dishes; they are stories of tradition and taste waiting to be savored.

Read moreStumbled upon this restaurant. Wasn’t sure before because there were other more commercially marketed restaurants in the vicinity. We happen to come here as the other one was full and glad we did. The staff was very welcoming and every single thing on their menu was probably the best I’ve tasted in the middle eastern cuisine (I’ve tasted a lot). They were very happy to adapt the items on the menu to our liking and were extremely hospitable as they encouraged us to eat more as soon as they saw our plates nearing empty. Chef Kareem deserved a special mention as he seems to be the guy enough to run the entire show. Right from customer service to shelling out so lip smacking dishes. Not to mention that the rest of the staff was equally great Noori. I visited the place during ramadan and despite the staff being on fast, they didn’t leave any stones unturned to give us one of the best hospitable experiences. I might just visit the city again just to come here and eat. A hidden gem in the heart of Bahru and the highlight of my trip here (yes it wasn’t all the amazing massages that were the highlight, it was this). If you happen to be in the city and want amazing food with an even better service, please do give...

The food is really delicious. The Hummus was very rich and flavourful. The bread accompanied with Hummus was soft and tasty. Mandi rice felt too buttery, the lamb tasted okay but the chicken was very tender and juicy. The doner wrap was good both mutton & chicken. Doner filling portion was generous. Apple tea and fragrant and they use real cut apples inside the tea.
The service was fantastic, the complied to a our requests. We requested a different kind of chairs as the sofas were too low for us and they changed without complaining. All the staffs including the chef was very pleasant and inviting. They staff even recommend and customised a different type of shisha for level...
