A Beautiful Park, But Poor Event Handling for Elderly Visitors
Don’t get me wrong ! Sireh Park is truly a beautiful and peaceful place. It’s rare to have such a natural, well-kept environment to chill out and enjoy time with family. I appreciate the space and what it offers to the community.
That said, my recent visit during the Rimba X Fest 2025 was a frustrating experience. I came with my 92-year-old grandmother, my parents, and my partner, hoping to visit Garden.MY, a shop within the park. However, we were denied entry even just to drop her off. Despite explaining her condition and the fact that there was no congestion and plenty of space, we were told to park far away, in a lot that was already full and disorganized.
I had no choice but to make a time-consuming U-turn and return to the entrance. I tried again with another RELA officer, and was still refused. Hence, found out the entire event setup also blocked access to the shop we came for, making the trip pointless.
Please understand — I am not someone who creates problems, nor was I trying to break rules. But this was just ridiculous. A bit of empathy or flexibility from staff could’ve made all the difference. I didn’t shout, didn’t barge in, didn’t use harsh words. I simply wanted to ensure my elderly grandmother didn’t have to suffer through unnecessary discomfort but still label and call as "rude".
Again, Sireh Park is a lovely place — but I hope the event team and management will take these issues seriously moving forward. A more thoughtful planning could prevent this from...

If you're an easy hiker or just starting out, Sireh Park is a nice place to explore. Parking is available along the road.
For my first trail, I hiked to the Raptor Nest. The path is well-covered with large rocks, making it easy to walk and beginner-friendly. Along the way, there's a small river with a jetty, kayak area, and a little café where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or even a Maggi cup. It’s a great spot to rest and take in the scenery.
After recharging, you can continue on to the next hill within Sireh Park. I started my hike around 8:00 AM and got back to the parking area by 10:00 AM. Be ready to sweat—it was a good workout!

Read moreThis park is really huge! Unfortunately, it was raining during my visit, so I didn’t go hiking. Instead, I spent some time walking around the park area. It was nice to see the ducks, geese, and even turkey wandering around.
The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, with not too many people around, which makes it a great spot to just slow down and enjoy nature.
The only downside is that there are a lot of mosquitoes, so please bring mosquito repellent if you...
