I had the Prawn beehoon noodles. Peppery and the broth is not too thick nor sugary sweet. Ok. It has 4 fresh prawns with its tail intact, 4 pork slices, fish cakes, half a boiled egg, kangkong & beansprouts. RM 9 for a regular bowl.
I did not think I would get a chance to eat roti canal during Puasa month. There was a store there that offers murtabak, roti tissue etc. Ordered a pisang roti canai. Very nice, creamy and just like a banana crepe. RM 3 for a piece with dhall curry.
Many stalls were closed on Wednesday. I ordered a bowl of pork balls noodles from a lady selling Pork Noodles & Fish slices noodles. The soup was tasty & piping hot. 7 pork balls + minced pork. The pork balls were firm & flavourful. Would have been PERFECT if she threw in some greens. RM 8 for a regular bowl.
From the stall that was selling Prawn mee/Lam mee, I ordered the bursting meatballs noodles. Came with 3 meatballs and 4 slices of pork belly - sliced thinly like bacon. RM 9.
Today, I tried the lemak laksa. I choose beehoon. It came with 3 decent pieces of chicken, pork rind, fucuk and cockles RM 9. I added additional cockles RM 3. Not much of heat but the curry had sufficient santan & a touch of Indian leaves in it. Taste enhanced with the adding of the juices from...
Read moreHad the pork noodle soup which was a bit bland. Salt and pepper fried chicken was crispy and soft inside. Only if more pepper added would be better as couldn't taste the pepper. Fish sauce fried meehoon was pretty good with fish meat and can see a few celery pieces. Loh mee was ok, too much gravy. Interesting thing the drinks were served by a robot once orders were taken. Parking is limited. Dinner most stalls are closed except...
