With all my heart I cannot recommend this place as it is now. I've patronised this establishment since its inception around 3 years ago. There used to be a new set menu every month and I'd come every month to try out the set menu.
Sometime down the line, I suspect they had a change of chef and the food started tasting a lot worse. First instance of this I experienced was when I ordered cod fish and it tasted really fishy and not fresh.
Since then I've stopped coming here and I've just recently came back here for dinner. The first two pictures are from said night. The plate of beef and fries cost Rm188. I really really cannot put into words how disappointed I was when this plate of beef I could get at a Chinese coffee shop from an auntie running the western food stall for rm20 was placed in front of me.
The beef was so called "mb6 premium wagyu". I'll admit I'm not an expert in beef so I can't tell you whether this beef really is mb6 wagyu but I can tell you that the best part of my meal was my honey green tea. Eating the beef felt like chewing really oily gum. The strands of grass on the beef also felt like some pompous behaviour trying to imitate an upscale feeling.
The other 3 pictures were from when I used to enjoy coming here and eating, to illustrate the difference in presentation and overall feel of the dishes between then and now. The presentation was really good back then compared to whatever is going on in the first picture.

We began with a Curried Pumpkin and Mushroom Soup, a comforting and flavourful start that set the tone for the meal. Next, we indulged in some delicious crab balls from their Christmas menu, a delightful appetizer offering a perfect mix of tastes and balance.
For the mains, we opted for the Wagyu M6, prepared with two different sauces - Diane Sauce for one and Chimichurri Sauce for the other. Despite requesting my Wagyu to be cooked medium-well (a tricky balance), the chef delivered perfection...tender and juicy, with no blood oozing out, yet wonderfully cooked through, each bite melting in my mouth.
Dessert was another highlight. The Cheese Crepe was rich and indulgent, but it was the complimentary Banoffee, graciously offered by Edward, the owner, that truly stole the show. This dessert was, quite simply, out of this world...an extraordinary blend of richness.
Edward and his team provided impeccable service throughout, making us feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The combination of exceptional food and outstanding hospitality made this dining experience unforgettable.
De' Parlour has certainly set the bar high for festive dining this season! Highly recommended for those seeking a memorable culinary...
