NASI LEMAK ROYALE ‘KEDAH’ — Restaurant in Ampang Jaya Municipal Council

Tonight, I'm so dissatisfied and disappointed with the service. We've bought rice, chicken and gravy to eat at home. The portion of the rice were so little , it was unbelievable. One was even only enough for a few mouthfuls. I've realized that the portions had been smaller and smaller in the last of years, but it was still acceptable as the taste was somewhat still the same. I've been a regular since they first opened at the condo clubhouse. Back then, one nasi bungkus with chicken and veggies could be eaten by two people. Now, I finished my rice first before I can finish my small chicken wing. Mind you, not the whole part, just the wing itself. I hope things will change. The name Nasi Lemak Royale Kedah has nothing to do with Kedah at all. No Kedahan has been sighted and seen. Now, the food and service are also disheartening.

Want a different take on "Nasi Kandar"? Try out Nasi Lemak Royale! It's not like the typical Nasi Lemak that we have with sambal but rather a rice that is infused with an aromatic blend of spices and it is Yellow in colour which is representative of the colour of Royalty hence the name. You can find your usual servings of Nasi Kandar dishes to put on your rice and make sure to get a mix of the gravies by asking for "Kuah Campur" or mix gravy for a more immersive experience.

Beware, the spices in the gravies and curries are quite intense for someone who is not a seasoned "Nasi Kandar" eater and can be quite spicy. Prepare your stomach, but it is worth it!

Be careful!!! They are ripping off customers. Been to Permaisuri branch. Ordered 1 piece of fried fish (ikan bawal), 1 vege and rice and they charged $11.50. Felt something is off and asked for itemised bill. Then informed the fish is $6 and veges is $1.5 and the rice I assumed is $2 total $9.5 and suddenly the staff appologized claiming the extra $2 is his mistake but I noticed few tables also for the itemised bill and recalculation of the bill.
