Have been meaning to visit this place for a while to try authentic Afghan food and it did not disappoint. We opted to sit indoors as the outside had an unpleasant odor (not the restaurant's fault, just the environment) and the lady who greeted us was very accommodating.
Upon ordering our food we were served a complimentary serving of a chicken soup that had an interesting sour leaning. Not long after we were served the mains. The bolani flatbread was soft and well seasoned, yet mild enough to absorb the yogurt and mint dips it was served with. The chicken koobideh kebab had just the right amount of bite and was complimented by a plate of buttery saffron rice. The true highlight of our meal, however, was the lamb kabuli palaw. The lamb meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, while the rice, despite the different add ins like carrots and raisins, was well balanced and packed a flavour punch. Portions were generous as well so my friends and I fought to finish our meal. Only hang up was that they did not have ghormeh sabzi when we went, though that's not necessarily an Afghan dish so I'm not too upset over that. The restaurant also serves shisha at very reasonable prices but we were too tired to try it. Overall, it was a great way to end our night and I will be back to try the...
Read moreThis isn’t my first visit, but it’s definitely not my last! This time, I brought my friends along to enjoy the Ramadan buffet, knowing they would be treated to some amazing Afghan food. The food here is truly authentic and absolutely delicious. There’s a wide variety of dishes to sample, offering a real taste of Afghan cuisine.
While I do have a small comment about the flavor of the whole lamb, the rest of the dishes more than made up for it. The Gorme Sabzi, Dal, Soup, BBQ chicken, and kebabs are all mouthwateringly good. We also tried the saffron tea, which was fantastic.
The staff here really knows how to make guests feel welcome. Their hospitality and etiquette are top-notch, and they are always presentable.
The only suggestion I have is for them to pay a bit more attention to their facilities, particularly the restrooms (ladies' and men's rooms).
Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Afghan food and a wonderful...

We started with a delicious lamb shorwa appetizer. We ordered Zereshk Palaw (chicken) and beef kebabs, both served with rice. The kebabs were subtly spiced and juicy, while the Zereshk Palaw reminded me of "ayam masak merah"—same same but different. Hehe. Must try.
When my friend's husband joined, he ordered Kabuli Palaw (lamb), lamb shawarma with bread, and Mantu (dumplings). The Kabuli Palaw was exceptional with tender lamb, and the addition of carrots and raisins enhanced the flavour of the rice. The Mantu, smothered in tangy yoghurt sauce, was juicy and delicious.
We ended our meal with refreshing mint tea and moved to the shisha seating for a more relaxed vibe. While the baklava was slightly undercooked and not as crispy as expected, the overall dining experience was excellent. We'll definitely return for the...
