A group of us went to Ogos in Ampang Point to celebrate one of our guest birthday on 5th Nov. It seemed like a quiet evening and we're the first group to be there even after 8pm. It's only after 8:30pm then we had two more other tables occupied. After a group discussion on whether A La Carte or Set Menu, we opted for a set menu for the 8 of us. Food: Can't fault it, it was sumptuous and ever flowing with taster dishes keep coming. The BBQ meat(Beef, Pork) was excellent, juicy and very tasty. Veggie, Korean style, was good. I've marked it 4 stars instead of 5 stars purely because I felt (personally) thd set menu was letdown by the hotpot in Kimji soup. The kimji flavour was a bit overpowering for my taste. Service: Top drawer, attentive, fast and friendly. The waiters and waitresses were even present to attend our every demand/request, be in refill of tea, more beers, more sojo etc, etc. The lady restaurateur was very patient with us, explaining the dishes that we'll be getting for the set menu. Atmosphere: it was great for us. We had a good time as we celebrated one of our friends birthday. Price: Don't expect price to be cheap for Korean food. It turns out to be over RM70...

I’ve been a regular customer here for the past 1-2 years. Whenever my family crave for Korean food i will bring them here.
However, this will be my last time here.
1)6 pax dining in, but the side dish & kimchi is so little and stingy. When we asked to top up, the waiter and lady boss “keep on”mention to us only can top up for 1 time. Per pax spent around RM40-50 but each of us can only share a tiny piece of side dish. Those table with 2ppl having the same amount of side dishes with us(6pax). (wondering how expensive is their side dish ingredient, so stingy to customers.)
2)barbeque meat serve on hotplate but the plate is cold & onion is raw.
3)ask to top up lettuce but they took the plate and never come back, or maybe not allowed to refill?
*previously they bought the high score review by giving out a small cup of soft drinks to customers which review them. Hence you will see high google review score.
Maybe the restaurant is famous now then does not care about customer experience. There are plenty of Korean restaurants nearby which also serve good food.
Good luck. No more next time for me...
Read moreA gem in the sea of sparkly stuff. Haha… it’s aptly true cuz they are located smack in the midst of a slew of Korean restaurants.
This location is the Korean hood of KL. So just about every surrounding road, you will have 2-3 Korean joints.
Anyways back to the restaurant.
They serve excellent Korean food. Right from the moment you feast on the tiny plated appetizers, which are refillable to some extent.
We went for a trio of grilled pork (due to cost, beef is pricy) a seafood pancake and a plate of japchae.
Everything was excellent! One of the meats we had was of marinated variant, it was the tastiest (with a hint of satay-ness)
One of the cool things about this restaurant is that they do the grilling of meats for you! They served all the meats at your table on a hotplate! (in a bed of grilled onions) - this means you don’t need to toil over a hot stove and you won’t smell after the meal. + this gives the restaurant a nice pleasant non-oily and non-smokey atmosphere.
Parking is plentiful in this corner of the shop lots. And there is a minimum spend if you want to take the ‘private’ room.
Don’t hesitate to come here for your fix of...
