Make your payment directly with the cashier. If you asked the waiter to calculate your bill, ask for an itemized bill and use calculator from your mobile to get the correct amount. Very often the Indian waiters will just increase your bill by up to 50% depending on how rich you look like. And very often customers will just play "generous and gentlemen" and too lazy to check back or to fight back or too shy to KILL the waiters. If the waiters asked, why its expensive? and the or their answer will "SUDAH MASUK GST".
The waiters will handover the money to the cashier with the correct amount and take extras to their pocket. Insist of getting the receipt, because the Indian cashier and the Indian waiters work hand in hand. If ever the receipt is given, it will be in one total amount, not itemized and you wouldn't know what were you paying for.

Read moreThis restaurant is only a few steps away from Ampang Point shopping mall. It is one of the best joints around the vicinity (there are at least 3 other same type of restaurants here)

Just like any other nasi kandar restaurant, you will always wonder how they come up with the final price of your food. Anyway, not to worry as this place wont burn your pocket as the price is on the low to medium side and you shall leave the place with your full and happy stomach.
The traffic surrounding this area is heavy, thus parking is quite...
Read moreMy go-to restaurant for yummilicious mee goreng with telur mata and sup daging. Those are my staple menu every time I am there. They also have very good Naan bread; my favourite being the garlic and cheese naans. Have them with tandoori chicken (with the mint sauce), loads of dhal gravy, coconut chutney and sambar - yumms!! Their roti sardine is nice, too. One can have the sup daging with a choice of bread - normal white bread or the roti benggali. I always go for the latter. More authentic that way. The daging is tender, almost melt in your mouth. They used to serve sup urat, but not anymore. A good place to experience real mamak soup. Highly...
