Authentic Korean Restaurant, located 2nd floor of the shoplot, mainly serving Pork BBQ and also serving pork feet (Jok Bal), pork sausage (Modeum Soondae), kimchi steamboat, some chicken dishes and etc. Portion are generous, many type of side dishes (can be refill). Ordered BBQ set 1 (Samgyepsal come with Kimchi Soup, Dalsol Bibimbab, Steam egg, Pa Jeon and also the side dishes) add on Daegi Galbi (Grilled spare rib marinated with their special BBQ sauce). Kimchi soup ๐ฒ: Nice (a little bit more spicy๐ถ๏ธ then expected, but like the taste). Bibimbab ๐ฅ : slightly more on Soya and cheese taste. Steam Egg : I like this very much, smell good on the egg, soft, juicy, not over cooked and saltiness are just nice for me. Pan cake : abit dry but still nice to eat. Side dishes : all this is nice, and the staff also filling up for us few times during our requested with friendliness. Samgyepsal (Pork Belly BBQ) ๐ฅฉ : abit over grilled, it too dry but it crispy during the bite. Daegi Galbi (marinated Spare Rib) ๐ฅฉ : The meat marinated well, Grilled well done, meat is tender, juicy and very nice to eat. At the end they serve fruit ๐ for us too. ๐ Overall had very full dinner, just take note that the restaurant serving limited tables, better be early there. Price are reasonable and worth for it. Definitely will go back to try out other dishes.
Read moreWe ordered pork soup, soondae and stir fried octopus. We didn't like the soondae and i think it is an acquired taste. Their first round of banchan was nice. But when we asked for 2nd refill, it took ages, and it not nice (different batch of banchan, and the beansprouts was the tiny small ones and soggy). Hence i gave food 3 star.
We were the ONLY Customers there and yet have to wait so long for refill of banchan, as if they were so reluctant to give. These two foreign girls couldn't get their credit card machine to work (error pops up - PLEASE SETTLEMENT). So she repeatedly ask me to pay in cash which i refused. I told her to ask her owner to come out and fix this simple issue. Then she said owner went home. Then call lar. She gave me a namecard and asked me to call the owner. WHAT THE HECK.
Finally, i said u call lar, then ask your owner how to fix this. Then only she did that, a few clicks, done.
I paid and left. We will not come back again. Atmosphere was old, but homely looking. But i glance at the kitchen, super...

We asked the owner, and he said that's how they normally serve it, even though in Korea it's usually hot. It was a bit strange, not because of the taste, but because it wasn't cooked the way we were used to.
I know sometimes restaurants adapt dishes to local tastes, but this felt more like a different cooking style than just different ingredients. Still, the side dishes and pork bone soup were tasty, and the place had a cozy Korean home vibe. The staff were friendly and spoke good English, so that was a plus!
Overall, while not exactly authentic, it was a decent experience with some interesting...
