The Spring houses the best food court in Kuching. Props to the management team for keeping up the standards. Food is good and hygiene is at an acceptable level.
Halal. Lots of choices here, local, western, Arabian, desserts, etc. Chicken rice is the most popular so far. The laksa and nasi lemak by Madam Tang are popular too. Plenty of seats, but the food court can be quite packed during public holidays.
Here's an idea of the prices. Hawaiian pizza RM16.80. Sarawak laksa RM12 for large. Yong Tau Foo RM7.20 for 6 pieces, additional item is charged RM1.20.
This food court practices self-service. To not look like a fool when ordering, read this. On ordering food: Queue to order at the counter and pay first. On getting food: Wait for your food at the stall, there's no buzzer or anything like that so don't go back to your table hoping someone will tell you from afar or bring your food to you. On getting utensils: Look around the food court for it, near pillars. You can also get spoons, forks, chopsticks, from the counter of some stalls. You can also wash your hands at the basins in the center.

Read moreFood Bazaar have variety of stall which you can choose, like Malaysian Food, Western, Middle East, Indonesian, and many more. The area of food court is big and they have some chairs around the stall so you can choose the cozy place to enjoy your food. I ordered the Special Steam Chicken Rice and my spouse ordered the Sarawak Laksa. The chicken rice looks so tempting when they finally arrived in my hand and something that makes me a little bit shock it’s only 9RM which it’s so affordable for the food in Mall. I really like the taste of the chicken rice when it’s mixed up, it’s so tasty! For the Sarawak Laksa, I think the taste just so so. Maybe if you wanna try the original one, you can go to the legend Laksa in Kuching. Will come back for sure to try another stall in...
Read moreI stopped by this restaurant around 12:55 PM today to pick up an order my brother placed. Since I didn’t order it myself and didn’t have the receipt, I just wanted to double-check the food to make sure it was the right one. But the staff member helping me seemed really annoyed, like I was bothering her just for asking.
She was wearing a hijab and had East Asian features—just saying that so it's clear who I’m talking about. She looked quite young, and while I get that maybe it was a stressful moment or a bad day, it really wouldn’t hurt to be a bit more polite or even just smile. Being respectful and kind to customers should be part of the job. This experience honestly made me feel a bit...
