Kosa Coffee Saradise — Restaurant in Borneo

Has a “one laptop, one drink policy” which is not shown anywhere in their store, if I had known better would not have visited this place. After purchasing a drink which only came in a large size we sat down to do our work. We had not even finished our drinks (the tea is only available in a LARGE size which was physically impossible to finish it in 10 minutes, Cost rm 12.90) the poor waiter came and told us to order another one as ordered by her "boss", explained to her that we had not even finished our first drink and we would order another one later, not even 1 minute later the “boss” came and told us to order another drink, when asked for his store policy, failed to show it to me.Basically wanted to shoo out us out, bear in mind we were only in the store for not more then an hour. Overall very insistent and persistent “owner” who wants to make a quick buck by forcing people to buy more drinks, after not even finishing our first drink. Had an intention of revisiting the place in the future as the place was cozy and conducive to study, but right now this place has lost 2 customers. Not student/work friendly. What can I say about Kosa here. It is like a busy market.

I brought my laptop and hope to find a place to drink, and do my work in a cozy coffee house.

When I walk into a coffee house, I will be looking for the type of beans they offer. The barista or should I say the waitress cannot understand when I ask whether there are different coffee bean options. She kept on introducing those fancy coffee beverages in the menu so I guess this is not really a coffee house.

Next I have trouble finding a table with a power socket. Or should I say I can hardly find a power socket.

Luckily I have a long power cable that are able to connect to the table at my back. What irritates me next is the noise in the coffee house. I hear gossip from left and right, front and back. I have to put on my earphone and turn the volume to the max to filter the noise.

Lastly, the coffee is tasteless. I always order Americano without sugar to enjoy the flavour and smell of the coffee choice. Here at Kosa, it is a total disappointment. No smell and tasteless.

On the evening of 08/01/2025, while ordering a peach tea, I encountered behavior from your staff that was not only unprofessional but outright disrespectful to customers. The cashier, instead of maintaining basic decorum, was cursing openly in front of me while venting frustrations about the terminal payment method to another staff member. Shockingly, the female staff nearby chose to merely watch without stepping in to diffuse the situation or assist.

As a paying customer, I felt deeply uncomfortable and disheartened by such conduct. This incident reflects a serious lack of training, discipline, and regard for customer experience. If I were in a position of authority within your establishment, I would seriously question retaining employees who fail to uphold the basic standards of professionalism and customer service.
