Was very disappointed with the service. My mom ordered the American Breakfast. The toast was very dry, so we requested for some margarine or butter. The first waiter looked so confused when we asked, and he straight away say No. So we ask why can't you give us a little? We are even willing to pay. Then he said he will ask the kitchen. A different person came back, a waitress this time, had the same conversation again, then she went to check with the kitchen. Finally came back to us with the weirdest EXCUSE. She told us it's your kopitiams SOP that American Breakfast cannot have margarine so she cannot give us some. What? How stupid is that? You're telling us we cannot have margarine because we cannot eat it with your American Breakfast? Because that is your SOP?? Honestly the dumbest thing I've ever heard when dining out. We will definitely never be coming back, because who the heck are you to tell us that we cannot have margarine with our toast because its American? We ended up not eating it at all. Because it was dryer than the Sahara desert.
And on TOP of that ridiculousness, what kind of an establishment do not accept CASH? How if an elderly or a student came to dine here and can't pay because they do not have a card or epayment? If you do not trust your staff with cash, then it's better not to do business. This is just my 2 cents.
Oh, there was also a piece of hair in my soft boiled egg. Unhygienic.
Do better....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my first time dining here. I come here with my lovely colleagues.
The reason it's name duduksama is because you will literally see multiracial Sarawakian sit together (duduksama) to enjoy multicultural food.
I caught the attention from the attentive and yet very friendly Supervisor, Mimi as this is my first visit. She introduces me their new food + signature menu of duduksama which is, the "Signature Mi Sup".
"Signature MI Sup" RM6.90 is a special kolo mee serve with clear prawn broth and chunky chicken slices. Affordable and taste good.
"Nasi Lemak Kari Ayam" RM11.90 is a not very spicy sambal nasi lemak (fair to both spicy lovers & non-spicy) to enjoy with chicken curry. Condiments like fried anchovies, slices of cucumber, fried ground peanut and half boiled egg served as well.
"Teh C Special" RM3.90 is one of the Sarawak signature drinks, and I would say it's just nice and can be improved. I would suggest to use Thai Red Tea instead of normal tea mix, so that duduksama teh c special will be memorable.
Mimi informed that new branch will be open soon at Metrocity and the new mall opposite AEON (forgot it's name). I wish duduksama all the best and please maintain your friendly customer services and food quality as you branching out.
As for me, I will definitely repeat to dine here especially after night shift ended, just to unwind and connect with friends...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ate french toast salted egg, roti bakar kaya telur goyang, nsi lmk aym grg,mi kolok putih, air madu lemon and kopi titanic. All tasty except for french toast salted egg. I expected it to be savoury but maybe that is the original taste for french toast. It is too sweet for me
Service is very fast. We just ordered about 3 minutes later the food came. So fast out of my expectations. A lot of people are coming in but they handle it so well, cleaning the table so fast and very alert whenever there was an empty table to allow waiting people to come in.
I was also shocked by the price, cheap for a kopitiam. In my mind, kopitiam is always quite pricey. Mi kolok RM6.90.
The restaurant is in the process of applying halal certificate. Previously I saw a halal certificate on wall besides cashier counter, I thought that the certificate for the restaurant. It was a halal certificate for their meat supply, already clarified through FB chat. So to anyone that has doubt, lets eagerly wait for halal certificate of the...
