It was fate that led me to discover this restaurant. When I was taking a grab cab to the hotel, the driver told me this place is famous for its fish balls and beef offal noodles, since just right opposite the hotel, me & my husband decided give it a try.
I ordered the pork offal noodles with added the yellow rice wine, it was the first time I'd had such a rich & flavourful yellow rice wine broth. They were so generous with the rice wine, even more than I’d use when cooking at home, so delicious! I’m already starting to miss it now that I’m back in KL. For yellow rice wine lovers definitely need to try this!
My husband ordered the beef offal, which he really enjoyed. The meat was tender, though the soup was a bit milder compared to what we’re used to.
The weather was so hot, I thought of ordering a chrysanthemum tea to cool down. But when the drink served , we were stunned and surprised 😂, almost half cup of chrysanthemum and gave us a ”sieve” too! That’s unique!!!
I was heard Ham jian bian is good too but personally I found it nothing special. As for the noodles, we found them nothing too special. However, the portions of the foods were large, easily enough for two people to share.
They have many more choices of foods, definitely...
Read moreThe sau nyuk which is a crispy pork belly has a very crispy skin is a must. The skin is crispy and crunchy and is easy to chew or bite. The homemade Kon Lau Men is also very delicious and has a very dense chewy texture. The noodle portion might seem disappointing at first but, once the noodle is loosen up, the portion is actually larger than it looks. The other favorite is the homemade fish paste chunks or balls. The fish paste balls here have a succulent fish taste compared to other places which we tried so far. Service is swift, as soon as you find a seat open and sit down. Staff will come towards you to take your order. Parking can be tough depending on the time of the day, but people come and go frequently so getting a spot is not too bad. This restaurant might seem small with just a couple of tables from the outside, there is actually a 2nd floor as well which you can find additional seats. So don't be discouraged if you walk towards the entrance and notice no available seats, try walking towards the back and once you pass the cashier counter there is a flight of stairs to...
Read morefresh slice fish soup, homemade fish ball soup or mix pork pork soup or beef noodles. They also serve tomyam soup. You can choose those to go or without noodles . Their noodles are handmade too which cost RM2 for dry sweet soya sauce. The noodles are superb with huge portion for me. The slice fish soup cost around RM13 , although is not cheap but you definitely get the superb quality . The pork 'spare park' soup is definetly worth trying if you like it. Chilli sauce is spicy so beware. They have 2 same shop on the same roll which is 2 doors away and some upstairs seating. We are seating at the old shop where there's fruit vendor selling pineapple and banana. Their roast pork is also famous but we didnt get to try cause they run out by the time we got there. Do go early if you are craving for it . there is also parking if you go early. Do buy your parking ticket with the restaurant's uncle, he sells it in...
