The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Sabah (Damai) — Restaurant in Borneo

Hi. I have been there on a few occasions usually at 9am and had to leave without ordering because a the items I wanted to order was not available even though it advertised that it is served until 11am.

Today I went there today and the customer service was pathatic. I waited about 30mins for 2 pancakes even though the place wasn't busy. People that order after me got their food before me. The staff really seemed to get annoyed with the fact I asked how long my order would still be. I have finished my coffee as well as my wife who was with me received her order timelessly and had finished her meal while I was still waiting. I asked the waiter when she eventually brought my order for a refill. She came back with the coffee without asking if I wanted milk or not. I than politely asked her for milk as I stared eating. She than put the milk on the counter and asked me to come fetch it. Even though there were sufficient staff behind the counter and no customers at the counter. I personally think that was poor customer service. I really enjoy the atmosphere that the cafe offers but the service really needs to...

We came here for drinks and cakes after dinner on a Wednesday night. There is some kind of offer everyday it seems, and on Wednesday it's 25% off all food and beverages. Supposedly some sort of ladies night offer, but not sure how strict they are with that requirement.

My favourite drink in CBTL is the hot mocha, so we ordered large ones. Tried a cheesecake and muffin. Taste is good.

The condition of the toilets can be improved, probably better to keep it dry than leaving it wet. There was also a fly that kept hovering around our table, so overall cleanliness can be improved as well, perhaps.

Hopefully more effort can be put in to make this CBTL even better. There is potential for it to be a flagship store, rather than just being the best by virtue of being the only one.

Recommended, especially since it's the only CBTL around here in KK, and I greatly prefer the taste of CBTL...

They have inside and outside (open air) sitting area. The inside was great, cold air-conditioning, toilets are clean and as for outside sitting area too many mosquito. Tried to stay longer whenut cannot stand of the mosquito bites. When this place about to close shop they will offer you to transfer you drink to a paper cup, instead for my drink.. never come back to me. When i asked the staff for my drink he says he already throw it because thought i don't want it anymore, he said sorry and locked the shop door right away... I'm a little bit frustrated. I also noticed that another way for them (staff) to inform their customer the shop about to close (especially customer who sit inside) by increasing the music sound super...
