Ordered Thai Fish Cakes, Green Curry Beef, Tom Yan Seafood and the water chestnut dessert . Taste of Green Curry Beef and Tom Yam Seafood was pretty good and they were generous with the ingredients, which were fresh. However, the dessert was not as good with the water chestnuts not having the right texture.
Service was good and servers were polite. However, we still had a bad dining experience and that is the reason for the low rating.
When taking our orders, we were informed that there will be quite a wait. Looking at the big crowd, okay that's understandable and we can accept it. I didn't keep track of how long it took before our first dish, the Tom Yam Seafood was served. But I estimate more than 30 minutes. Here's where things started to go downhill.
First of all, we were served cold rice leftover from serving another table (it's scooped onto your plate from a serving bowl by the server). We can still accept that. It was quite a wait before the next dish (Green Curry Beef) came, about 15- 20 minutes maybe. After we had already finished our rice, the fish cakes were still no where in sight while other tables who came much later after us were already having their food served to them, and in a steady stream without any extensive waiting time in between dishes, mind you.
Checked on our fish cakes a couple of times and were told it's being prepared already. Despite the long wait, I really wanted to try it as it's one of my favourite That dishes, and so decided to wait a bit more and added on an order for dessert. Our dessert was served in less than 5 minutes but the fish cakes were still not served! The waitress told us it would take just 5 minutes more but it was still not served after more than 5 minutes and it had already been at least more than 20 minutes since the Green Curry Beef was served. It's supposed to be the first dish to be served, being an appetizer. But in the end, a dessert ordered towards the end of the meal was served even before it.
What made it the last straw for us was that they kept serving food to all the other tables that came later than us, while we are still waiting for our food. Mood was totally ruined and decided to cancel the order of fish cakes.
Another funny thing was the Tom Yam Seafood was served in a charcoal steamboat pot and the Green Curry Beef in a mini wok on a warmer stand but there was totally no heating elements underneath either one of it. Did they run out of heating gel or tealight candles or was it just for show? Either way, the food became cold quickly due to the air conditioning.
Overall, a disappointing dinner experience that looked promising at the start. I can accept a longer than usual wait time of up to 1 hour when the restaurant is packed but not extensive wait times in between dishes with other tables that came later being served their food first and in a steady stream while we are kept waiting...
Read moreWe have come here several times as my kids like their Tofu & Crispy Omelette. Service is usually OK. They have improved the way they serve white rice - from using scoops to using rice bowl.
Unfortunately however, our most recent experience was somewhat unpleasant (hence the 4 stars). We normally order manually with waiter/waitress but this time, we saw a QR Code for ordering food, on our table (refer picture). So we scanned this QR Code & ordered.
After waiting for some 30 minutes, we realised that people who ordered later than us had already received their food whereas we had not received anything. So we suspected maybe the QR Code wasn't working & went to the Cashier Counter to enquire. Lo & behold - our order was never received by their system! 🤬 QR Code!
After realising our situation, the cashier apologised & reassured us that they will cook our order pronto. (We saw her rushing to the kitchen after she keyed-in our order 👍🏻). And all our food arrived quickly within the next 10 minutes 😄
So my recommendation is this - do come here & eat (their crispy omelette especially) but never use the QR Code for ordering....
Read moreA good place to experience and enjoy great thai food. Located at saradise makes it easier to find and but also quite hard to find a parking spot. The place is split into two areas; indoor and outdoor. The indoor area gives you the "thai" aesthetics while the outdoor gives you the "fresh air" surrounding. From the entrance to the outdoor area, everything looks clean and its staff are very welcoming.
As for the food, I opted just for the small portion for eveyrthing. It may seems a bit pricey for some. For me, the portion and taste overshadowed its price. The first sip of the tomyam soup did had me kicked back to thai🔥. Its spicy, sourness, its flavour, everything is well balance, 8/10. The food overall is 7/10.
The clean & comfy atmosphere really amplify my great experience here. With the fast and friendly service by the staff, I will definitely come...
