TREVI IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT NOT TASTE LIKE HOW IT LOOKS.

First impression, Friendly and welcoming staff. Ambience of Trevi is beautifully decorated with a unique mix of italian and british style, makes it comfy and relaxed. Everything was fine really, but when the food came, im dissapointed that it does not taste as it looks. Ordered the Ragu Beef Pasta and Miso Glazed Seabass.

Miso Glazed Seabass

I can understand that this is a out of the box move to bring miso into the picture, but sadly the taste speaks for the method. The miso failed to maintain freshness. The Seabass smelled bad when it came to the table. The skin became soggy, and i believe the chef did not properly preheat the skillet, or possibly just use a pan and started on cooking side up on the skin while scooping the oil over the fish fillet. What should had been done was to preheat the oven to 200°c. Heat an oven-proof skillet over high heat on the stovetop. i believe to fuse the miso paste on sea bass (Siakap), the fish should had been marinated a day earlier, of which it should be lightly wipe off any excess miso clinging to the fillets, just don't rinse it off. You should film the pan with a little oil, then place the fish skin-side-up on the pan and cook until the bottom of the fish browns and blackens in spots, about 3 minutes. Flip and continue until the other side is browned, 2 to 3 minutes at least. Then transfer to the oven and bake for 5 to 10 minutes, until fish is opaque and flakes easily.

Ragu Beef Pasta

Ragu Beef. Please do understand that too much of one thing will bring you in trouble. Yes theres a generous amount of olive oil but your bolognese sauce should had been properly balanced with vegetables, example carrots, onions and celery. Diced. That should help to improved the ragu to bring in the balance taste to the buds, by evaporating the excess water to intensify the beef. Why take take a short cut? Also, please ensure, in order to avoid small lumps (the sauce should had been smooth and balance) stirr your beef throughly. To avoid customer to wait 25 minutes, Preapare your sauce 2 hours before. it need that duration to make it 5 star. Lastly, don't skip your dish from thyme. Respect it as an italian. And please DO NOT SKIP PARMESAN. It suppose to be that quality, otherwise whats the point introducing to Sarawakians.

Price wise, make sure the Taste is parr with that value. Otherwise, complaints will flood in massively if theres people like...

Update : Since the management responded, its an action that is worth commending. Instead of giving excuses or defending their actions, the management responded appropriately. Thank you.

I would have given 1 star if its not because tof the other friendly staffs.

It was my friend's wedding, its raining and me and my wife who is pregnant is bringing in photo equipments and printer which cannot be wet and the only access which is shaded is from the back door. It didn't have a sign which says do not enter but rather Grab available here.

So we entered through the door only to be greeted by a long hair male staff who is rude. Instead of greeting us, he was rude and say u cant pass here why don't u use the front to which i replied, because it is raining and he replied dont u have an umbrella and to which i said no. Instead of helping or offering an umbrella, he say we cannot move this table for u to pass through and walked off.

First of all, its raining and its a wedding, why cant u let your guest use the shaded back door. If u don't allow it, then put a sign or tell us politely. Otherwise, at least have the courtesy to offer an umbrella to my pregnant wife if not my equipment.

U dont even offer umbrella service, and yet u r rude and still work in a service industry. Its a wedding, my wife is pregnant, there equipments which cant be wet and not to mention even elderly people. What kind of service is this!!!???

Totally destroyed our mood for the...

Feeling so excited to celebrate our Valentines day at this restaurant. Arrived there at around 8pm. After 20 minutes of waiting, we asked the waitstaff regarding our order and we were told that there was a big group table consisting of 20 people before us so asked us to wait but we were not informed how long we need to wait. Its very annoyed they keep servicing the big group table and ignored us. We have to ask the waitstaff time to time when our food was ready. We only got our food at 9pm plus. It’s really ridiculous. We waited 1 hour plus to have our food. Feeling so disappointed and upset. This restaurant has ruined our celebration and mood. If we knew that we have to wait another one hour to get our food served, we would cancel our order and have our dinner at another restaurant.

*This restaurant should request any big group customers to pre-order their food especially on weekends as weekends are usually crowded

Aside from poor service and management, their food was really bad. The beef bacon alfredo pasta that i ordered was so salty and the pasta itself was not fully cooked. I have to add water to dilute the salty creamy sauce so that i can continue to eat it. It was so frustrated.

This restaurant is not even deserved 1 star 😡 we will not return to this restaurant again. Its in our...

Had good expectations about this place but it all went down south after one visit. The place is always packed so I assume it is a nice place with good food. However, the drinks and food were just alright. Ordered their Hokkaido Matcha cake and it was just alright. Not much matcha taste and it was more cream than cake. The drinks were also alright. Ordered their chocolate mint ice blended and it tasted more like chocolate ice blended, no taste of any mint but it was okay. We decided to try their loaded fries and it was just alright. Nothing special. Overall, its a great place for a picture and nice place to chill. But it's one of those typical places where the environment qnd deco is good but the food is just okay or alright or bad. Really recommend this place for tea time but for the price, I rather go to Dolce or Ice Garden or Blendsmith.

Ossobuco made with lamb shank is a bit unusual, and more so when it's served as breakfast..but it worked very well. The poached egg and the stew really worked well together and using toasted garlic bread to sweep up the gravy is just satisfying! The coffee is pretty good, and so is the tea. The food menu seems more interesting than the drink menu. The shop itself is tastefully decorated. With big glass skylight, both indoor and balcony seatings are available, and even has a nice cozy sofa on the 2nd floor. I wish they had a big screen with Netflix in front of the sofa, but if they did I would be sitting there all day...:)) The only thing to nitpick about the place is that the wifi signal is too weak and speed is slow. Otherwise it's a perfect place for brunch and chill.

This place is definitely polarizing. Some hate it to bits, others find it just OK. Well I am glad to report that my first time dining here was truly a pleasant experience 😬 Aaron (the staff on duty) was super helpful and accomodating, manage to get us a nice spot upstairs. The food: Don’t be fooled by the modest looking risotto. It is good! Lamb shank needs improvement, saving grace was the perfectly poached eggs. We ordered the matcha and biscoff cakes. Biscoff a little too sweet for me while matcha got the approval from wifey 👌🏻 Price is kinda on the high side but what do you expect? You’re paying for the ambience, the experience and that itself is not something that you can measure. Go with an open mind and just enjoy it. Cheers.
