Dim Sum Cha Yun — Restaurant in George Town

Whatever good reviews that you saw, always trust the lower one here. Trust me, I’ve been to all sort of dim sum places and this is rank at the bottom two.

First, the cleanliness. They gave cups in hot water but full of food stain and maybe lipstick stain. Either they did not clean it properly or simply reusing the cups by just dipping in hot water.

Secondly, they will ask you to order in apps. After thirty minutes, they will come to you and said they cancel few dishes as not available that day. Then why put in the apps since you can off the particular food?

Thirdly, they simply add dishes that you did not order and put extra receipt at the order menu. Check the slips make sure no double order and stuff.

Fourth, it took them 40 minutes to serve five plates of dim sum in half empty restaurant. Becareful with flying toys from the child place if you sit next to the playground.

Fifth, me and him is in the toilet at the mall now around 30 minutes after the breakfast. I am terribly having stomach ache now.

A semi outdoor Dimsum restaurant (on the way to Botanical Park) that serves good Dimsum, different variety and very reasonable price. Clean area, cozy with big fans on every spot. Friendly and helpful staffs and new owner. Chinese decor and ambience brings back feeling like in China old day in movie. Mural on the wall and menu is all Chinese classic of Han folk village. Recommended!

Latest review : They have now changed boss & chef so dim sum quality has improved alot. Mostly, it is handmade items. The downside is they have not many varieties to choose from. Dimsum are all fresh. Service should be improved. They have plenty of staff on floor, but every single thing is self-service. Old review : A comfortable place for dim sum.
