So, been seeing a lot of Facebook pages recommending this nasi kandar shop. Thus, went there for the 1st time to try it out and see for myself what all the hype is about.
Warning! This is my own personal opinion, haters gonna hate but I don't care. Go and write your own review 😒.
First thing first, what I ordered is nasi kurang, kuah campur, telur bawang and ayam masak merah. To my surprise, when I tried to tear the chicken, there was blood flowing out. Yeah, blood 🩸
For sure I didn't finish the chicken 😂 I had lost my interest on the chicken the moment I saw the blood flowing out. Secondly, I dunno it's my tongue problem or what, but the kuah campur is just so so blend. I could barely taste anything from the kuah. The telur bawang is just plain plain blend as well.

Once you're in, just find a table—if you’re dining in, you can wait at your table and they’ll come take your order. Or you can queue up if you prefer. As for the food, it’s solid. The dishes aren’t fancy—no ayam bawang or lamb shank or anything like that. Just the basics like fish, chicken, prawns, squid, and eggs. But their mixed gravy? Even on the third day, it still left a lingering aroma on my hand. Definitely recommended to try. I’ll surely be...

One factor is that I prefer thick gravy and Ali ameir is known for its ceroi (watery) kuah, which understandably, some people prefer it that way. Well, I guess different people have different taste-buds. I still come to Ali ameir every now and then usually when bringing my friends on holiday in Penang to try out this legendary Jelutong...
