Beach Corner Seafood — Restaurant in George Town

The worst restaurant I have ever been to！The aunty here (seems like the owner) was super rude and didnt want to serve us as they accused us for occupying a table for another bigger customer group. The table was actually small and cannot even fit all the large group. However, the table wasn't labelled with any reserved sign, and they didn't ask any staff to notify us our so-called "mistake". The way the owner settle this is by instructing the waiter to not serve us and ignore us. We waited for almost half an hour without knowing whats the reason to get ignored. Then we walk to the counter to seek help, a younger female worker tried to help us to take our order but was prohibited by that owner. "This group only has 5 people, and another group has 11 people. Know which group will make you earn more money. If you want to take this order, you cook it yourself" said the aunty to us and the younger female worker. I was amazed by this mindset and was utterly disgusted by the way she manage the restaurant and judge a customer. Eventho we successfully ordered the meal, but we didnt enjoy it. The food was not even as good as rated. The dish was not enjoyable and the fish stinks. Kangkung balacan was tasteless and the Fuyong egg was weird. NOT RECOMMEND TO TRY THIS RESTAURANT. Most of the waiter here provide types of service by the number of customer per group. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Want to rate zero star but google required at least one star to start a review. The most judgy restaurant and worker i have ever experienced. Lastly, i am grateful for the young female worker's kind...

The service was very disappointing, food tasted so so, acceptable, they have a parking lot collecting an entrance fee RM7

While taking order, we cancelled the 4th dish as we were afraid that we might not be able to finish, and the aunty said: ah don't blame later if the food is not enough 😐

ok fine. when food was served, there were 4 dishes, which included the one cancelled, so we asked the other waitress, she confirmed with the aunty and she said: they didnt ask me to cancel, ah pour away the dish (in hokkien and a very rude way)

hello aunty is that our fault for cancelling the dish when ordering? u memory lost or what happened? nvm we asked the other waitress for this during payment, she was not apologizing for this matter, instead talking useless: oh yea we cant add on dishes when there's many customers (BUT there were just a few customers that time, don't look for stupid reasons

simply add order, u thought we are tourists so u can just treat us in this way? and expecting us to pay more for the dish we cancelled?

we can see their comments in the other reviews also in a rude tone, if u not have enough workers, hire more and serve with a better attitude, there's no reason to ask customer to accept this kind of service

pls improve ur workers' attitude, ruined our travelling mood, no next time, oh yeah people pls go next door, BORA BORA looks better, you will have a better dining experience...

Last night, I searched from Google search about good seafood list in Penang and got information of this restaurant ranked first 10. Took dinner tonight . It’s totally disappointed. We have 3 persons and ordered black pepper crab. The crab meat was not fresh. The meat texture tasted like dead crab for long time. Also , we ordered fried garlic shrimp. It’s expensive that costs MYR 12 per a piece of regular size shrimp. The taste has no surprise. We also ordered seafood mixed vegetables. It had not much seafood inside and the vegetables are chopped into small pieces. Not taste good

after the dinner, We walked about 5-8 minutes and found a place named “Cafe Ferringhi Station( 長园美食中心) where there are many different food stalls . We found a stall selling “iron plate garlic shrimp”. It only costs MYR40 for 8 shrimp( same size as Beach Corner and even better taste )

So… to conclude : totally disappointed. Would not visit it again if travel to...
