It looks as if Starbucks simply doesn't care about environmental protection at all. Environmental sinners par excellence!
There are simply no cups. Regardless of whether you consume on site or take away, everything is filled into cups and provided with lids. You sit in the café and drink from a cup and have the lid next to it. There is also a large outdoor area with loungers and parasols. The simple question of whether you sit in the café or outside should be decisive for ceramic coffee cups or paper/plastic cups. The toilets are also in a terrible state. I was there for lunch and there was neither toilet paper nor a way to dry my hands. The sink was as dirty as if it hadn't been cleaned for days. The smell in the toilets is also very unpleasant. A couple of air fresheners are used to combat the smell. It helps next to nothing.
If you are eating a dessert, it is obviously impossible to drink your coffee at the same time. The coffee has long since gone cold by the time you can get the cake. Even if the café isn't very busy. And I pay 6% service tax for that!
So this Starbucks will never see me again. The competitor "The coffee bean and tea leave" company is the much better choice here. Just a few...

At glance, it seems like an ordinary Starbucks. Actually nope.
Personally not a fans of Starbucks due to not being into coffee. But this time deliberately went to Starbucks for visiting a beach at Batu Ferringhi and taking advantage of promo got 15% discount for showing hotel card. What a bargain! Considering fact Starbucks in Malaysia had very expensive price tags, it was a huge deal.
An unique feature was visitor can visit the beach across Starbucks freely. There was a direct access to the beach. Though visitor should walked a bit further.
Had a break with a couples of pastries and sandwich. All of them were very tasty. This same applied to the drinks.
The only fatal weakness of Batu Ferringhi branch was the cleaness of the toilet. In spite of the branch wasn't understaffed, the toilet was found in horrifying condition. Very dirty with puddle on the floor. Wish the cleaness...
Read moreAfter a long cycling adventure around Penang Island, Kitty, our friend, and I decided to stop by Starbucks Batu Ferringhi for a refreshing break. This Starbucks was buzzing with energy, a vibrant spot with hardly a seat to be found. The sea view just behind the Starbucks was a lovely bonus, adding to the lively atmosphere.
We ordered a variety of drinks: I opted for the Iced Chocolate with Vanilla Bean Powder, which was absolutely delicious. Kitty, however, found it a bit too subtle and not sweet enough for her taste. We also tried the Strawberry Cream Frappuccino, which was okay, but nothing too remarkable.
Despite the lack of seating and the fact that one of the rooms had a defective AC, we had a positive experience at this Starbucks. The atmosphere was lively, the drinks were good, and the sea view was a delightful touch. It was a welcome respite after our...
