So I have to revise my review here. Charpel street always my favourite place to go for brunch because they serve good food and spacious place, i always recommend to people and I have been visiting for many years. As below was my previous good review but today it makes me decided that I will never go back again. So we walked in today at 11:15am, and requested for 10 people seats, there are seat available and the cafe is low crowd at that moment. So the wearing-spec young girl server, told us there are lots of stuff out of stock, then I said ohh why? She said because we sold out liao lor, then I said but it is 11am now, and your cafe is serving breakfast and brunch food, Isn't it? She replied in very frustrated way: "Because our business yesterday very good ah".I am like, okay, it is fine. She said she can tell us what is out. She brought us menu, then start to tell us this and that is not available, and said: "If you want to order lunch food, it is only available at 12pm, but also many are out of stock. I tell you first ah don't later you guys ask me again why all off these not available". I was with my families, all of us were so shocked with her bad attitude. Why this girl getting so pissed and making it like our fault? You open your door to do business, I am looking for food. I walked out not because of your food is out of stock, but YOUR ATTITUDE. No stock is fine. You can talk nicely to your customer, you can tell us to try others instead. It is not my fault your food is out of stock and blame me for asking for that. Your business is soooo good, then go ahead. I walked out straight away, and I Will never come back again.

I love the food here, delicious, huge portion and premium quality. It is one of the Penang's cafe that I always return for good food. Their brunch items are good, especially the savoury pancake and also they make very delicious portabello mushroom! Chilling ambient and interior, however, we don't really enjoy the "stone" seats which is less comfortable, especially not convenient...

Chapel Café is a really charming spot — from the moment you step inside, the space feels calming with its minimalist concrete design, warm lighting, and touches of greenery. The interior has a modern industrial vibe softened by plants and natural light, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a slow breakfast.

I tried their pancake breakfast set and was genuinely impressed. The pancakes were light yet rich with an egg aroma that lingers in your mouth after each bite — not the usual plain pancakes you get elsewhere. The set comes with two sunny side up eggs cooked perfectly with golden runny yolks, crispy bacon strips, fresh rocket salad, and a delicious homemade pork sausage that had a nice bite and seasoning. Together, it made a superbly balanced plate that’s both hearty and satisfying. The maple syrup on the side added just the right touch of sweetness without overpowering the flavors.

The bagel was another pleasant surprise. Unlike the traditional dense and chewy style, this one had a softer texture, making it easy to bite into while still holding its fillings well. Stuffed with creamy scrambled eggs, fresh greens, and ham, the overall taste was very good — simple but done right.

Aside from the food, I really enjoyed the ambiance here. The café has unique corners with stone benches, decorative pots, and even a semi-open corridor that brings in natural light. It feels like a blend of rustic and modern design, which makes it stand out from the usual café setups. It’s a place where you can sit back, enjoy your meal in this atmosphere.

Overall, Chapel Café offers a well-thought-out menu with food that looks as good as it tastes, served in a cozy and stylish environment. Definitely worth a visit, and I’ll be coming back to try more...

Wanted to dine in for 4 pax today. Arrived at 10.30am, the cafe has no parking provided. But we are able to park our car quite a distance from the cafe and walked over and that's fine just to try out the cafe from the neighbourhood. And here comes with the most disappointing part , if not mistaken we saw at least 3 crews at the bar and 2 crews running the floor but no one ever attend to us for about 10minutes. Hence, we were wandering in the cafe ourselves to look for tables, and not only us wandering in the cafe, there are still other customers wandering too and the crews are not wearing their uniforms so is actually looks like everyone wandering in the kitchen, finding nowhere and no one. It is really like chinese "ghost month" happening here. The crews seems like don't recognise who is human to attend or "ghost" to attend. (Just Kidding) But it is really happening here. I hope the bosses out here please well trained to all your crews to be attentive enough, greet, and arrange tables or waiting line to whoever walk into your cafe. Thank you ! MERDEKA ! We left eventually to Kafka , and this place ample of carpark and...

Nothing special about the food and drinks were quite good BUT it is WAY too overpriced for a little cafe in the middle of nowhere. Being from KL and always going cafe hopping around bukit bintang i would know the average prices around there, and to think that your small cafe would price it similarly and even worse, more expensive than some of the places i’ve been to. For example, your Kimchi Pancakes which are priced at a whopping 28 ringgit. A basic kimchi pancakes requires just flour, water and kimchi, if you’re adding other ingredients the base price would just be around RM10, which means you have a nearly 300% profit. Please survey the prices before spinning your wheel of values you might get away with. Your food and drinks are also just slightly warmer than lukewarm, and i have to request for it to be extra hot? Isn’t it a basic serving etiquette? I really think you should reconsider everything i’ve written or else people might just think penang is a high income state 💀💀. Your deco tho is just *chefs kiss* Gorgeous GORGEOUS bar that Niko Neko Pasar Seni would wish they had.

Chapel Street Cafe has been around for quite some time and they've had their place renovated. They seem to have changed their menu. Went there on a Saturday afternoon and it was easy to get a spot for brunch. **I've forgotten the name of the foods on the menu. But here's what I ordered: Garlic Sausage, Grilled Corn, Hangover Toast, Honey Bee and Banana Mocha. Garlic Sausage - hard to miss. 4/5 Grilled Corn - hardly taste the char on the corns. Corns were still ''juicy'' and under-seasoned. 2.5/5 (Hangover Toast) Scrambled Egg + Bacon + Toast - eggs were bland, bacon is just bacon. They've added cinnamon to the bread, giving the bread additional taste. However, personally felt that the cinnamon did not went well with egg and bacon. Cinnamon has a sweet ending to it, preferrably matching with something sweet like honey drizzles. 2/5 Honey Bee - americano topped with bubbled honey. Bubbled honey made it special 4.5/5 Banana Mocha - felt like normal mocha, without banana. 2.5/5 Liked the vibe and the service there. Lots of room for improvements.
