I booked this place through AirBnB with Fion. Be careful, they remove all negative reviews on their AirBnB listing. I had to go back to the support team to reinstate mine, which they did but I reckon many guests don't notice their reviews disappear. Photo evidence provided with this review.
The check in instructions were lacking basic information (where to pick up the key)
There are hidden charges that will not be communicated until the check in instructions sent such as paying extra for when the check in or check out is outside of a specific hour, ie you can only do it for free at 11am for check in if you are early or late you need to pay
No instructions provided on how to use the appliances, where to throw garbage out, no additional tourist information about the area, welcome pack etc
The studio is strictly non smoking but you can smell your neighbours smoking
The unit was not provided with cleaning products, which I asked and reminded the owners of twice before checking in
The towels were thin, poor quality and had holes in them
The kitchen sponge was used and dirty
There were 4 toilet rolls on the arrival, I had to ask for additional ones
The hand soap was filled at about 20% of the bottle
The cleaning of the unit is not included and costs extra (more than what I was asked for in Kuala Lumpur)
There were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling and around the unit
The building is not cleaned. There has been dirt in the corridor that has never been cleaned during my stay. There has been an empty can of beer in the corridor for a week and up until my last day.
The building had a break out of dengue fever
At night and even sometimes during the day there were cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom area
The balcony was full of garbage
The balcony and the windows come out to a hospital next door, obscuring other view
The lights in the unit had an unpleasant hospital white colour, exactly like the actual hospital next door
There are four sockets, only two working and those are tucked away and not easily accessible
The bins in the flat do not have lids
There was garbage in the bathroom
There is no mattress cover on either of the beds so you can feel the wires sticking into your back
The washing machine does not clean your clothes well and always leaves them soaking wet
There are two remotes for the fans, only one working
The studio is right next to an elevator so you are exposed to a heavy foot traffic
There was a 24/7 heavy construction going outside, audible even when the windows were closed
The guests would drag the chairs across their floors, which since they have no carpet, would make a screeching sound at all times of the day and night (2/3am) that I could hear through my noise cancelling headphones. There is generally a lack of common courtesy amongst the guests, with a lot being loud and talking on their phones inc areas outside of the flat
The reception door and the main entrance to the building are not locked so anyone can go in, with or without a key
There was wall paper peeling off in the kitchen
The bathroom doors paint was peeling off
The stove was dirty
The air cons were clearly dusty and grimy
There was a dead animal, fishy smell coming from the balcony
No hot water in tabs. The shower gets warm but not hot.
It is not a guest responsibility to ensure the property is up to an expected standard upon arrival or during the stay. It is not a guest responsibility to remind the owner to do their job and maintain the property. After trying to sort out some aspects of the place with the owner and seeing how long and complicated and usually with no result the conversations were, I gave up. If I were to try to deal with all the issues, I would spend my entire stay doing the owner’s...
Read moreone of the worst homestay I ever been. worst car park, very narrow to go down. especially if there are cars parking near the slope. The architect of this building deserve to go back college and take exam. car park OKU parking lot is not meant for OKU drivers/visitors. My car (has OKU card) were chased away by the securities in the morning, after I explained to the securities and came back in the evening, an "anonymous" car (without OKU card) parked at the OKU lot. I suspect that the "anonymous" car belongs to the management who just park there to block those who really need the lot. the house unit deserve 1 star, old furniture and weird decoration, feel like the host took over from someone been staying there for many years and not doing any standard upgrade before leasing it. Different sofa/ bed/ mattress/ blanket, very weird. but its well clean. one of the two rooms aircon is not working at all. they shall check it before we enter the unit. location is good. easy access to Georgetown.
Overall, you may rent this place if you are traveling without car and able to book it below RM300 per night, any price above...

Not sure if you believe this - my cousin can see ghost. At night or sometimes in midnight, all of us smelled "bunga melati" (jasmine) scent. The smell came again, sometimes very strong and badly - all of us in the kitchen and living room could smell it. Quite creepy! Maybe because house besides the...
