Tha Thai Mookata — Restaurant in George Town

Scam alert! Be careful! Before we ordered, the worker told us it was RM39.90 nett per person, and we could choose one item from the menu. We chose Mokata, but when we went to pay, the cashier charged us an extra RM5 for the tomyam soup, which we didn’t even order. The cashier claimed it was the same clear soup for Mokata, but this wasn’t stated on the menu, nor was there any indication that choosing Mokata would require an additional RM5. The worker clearly said it was RM39.90 nett per person before we ordered!

To make things worse, the food was not fresh, especially the seafood! All the food bloggers, menu mentioned RM39.90, and we even confirmed this with the worker, but it wasn’t true!! This was my first time here, and it’s definitely going...

I have to share my honest my review. The lala pot was terrible. The crab and lala were not fresh. The lala were smelly. I asked the staff to change pot and tried to cook the lala again, the taste is still horrible.

I’m really sorry to say, when I eat the lala and crab, I was worrying I gonna get diarrhea or food poisoning.

There are quite a few selections of ingredients. Such as some veggie and meats, there’s also crab and lala for refill.

The food that I had the most was the glass noodles.. that’s seems like the only one that is delicious.. 🫠

If you come for mookata, the selection of meats are great for grilling.

I had a terrible experience at the BBQ buffet restaurant. The service was bad, the food had limited choices, and we had to wait a long time for the stove to be served.

Furthermore, they didn't explain the T&C to us. During the BBQ, when the stove fire started to dwindle, we requested additional barbecue charcoal, but they informed us that we weren't allowed to add any. As a result, we couldn't continue eating, and I'm extremely unhappy that they didn't inform us about this beforehand.
