Ah, Color Port, the culinary equivalent of a supermodel: incredibly photogenic, but leaves you questioning the substance beneath the style. This eatery, heartily endorsed by a certain Penang food blog, truly understands the art of gastronomical aesthetics. The presentation? Picture perfect. The ambiance? Instagram-worthy. The food? Well, let's just say it makes a pretty picture. Flavor, alas, seems to be an optional extra not included in the exorbitant price. If you're looking for a place to up your Instagram game, look no further. But if you're in the market for a satisfying meal, you might be left as hollow as their tantalizing yet underwhelming dishes. The one ray of sunshine on this otherwise overcast experience was my trusty Coca-Cola, a faithful companion that never lets me down. My parting wish for Color Port is that they invite quality food operators to their fold, who can bring the taste to match the tantalizing visuals, and at a price that doesn't require a second mortgage. Until then, here's to dining under the stars of social media, where the food is always ready for its close-up, even if it's not always ready for...

Tried several dishes and everything hit the spot: • Black Pepper Rice with Beef: Tender beef, bold peppery sauce, and a generous portion—super satisfying. • Beef Soup: Clear, light broth with soft beef slices. Comforting and not too heavy. • Fried Prawn Roll: Crispy on the outside, juicy inside. A great appetizer to share. • Crispy Chicken Siew Mai: A fun twist on the classic—crispy shell, savory chicken filling. Loved it! • Steamed Chicken Siew Mai: Soft, juicy, and full of flavor. Can’t go wrong with the classic. • Fried Mantau: Golden and crispy outside, fluffy inside. Best dipped in condensed milk! • Red Bean Pao: Light bun with mildly sweet red bean filling—great for dessert. • Caramel Latte: Smooth, creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. Perfect after the meal.
Fast service, friendly staff, and prices are still affordable. No wonder they’ve got so many...
Read moreStrangely, this 2nd time here is terrible but the first time seems better. The Chee Cheong Fun taste out and the texture soggy. Strangely it wasn't like that a month back. The satay was tough and feels reheated rather than straight of the grille. The chicken was dry and tough. Thr lamb was no better. Strangely, it was also better the last time. The oh chien, oyster wasn't the freshest and the panggang pari was meh. Overall, didn't enjoy the meal at all. Definitely not value for money and expensive 178 bucks. And when we comment about the lack of sauce in the Chee Cheong fun, the server has the cheek the sauce is under! Wow ... Definitely not value for money and expensive and definitely not coming again ... Cost me 178 and I left more than 50%...
