I ordered Kyoto Macha cheese cake today (5/13 sat) . It tasted sour & actually I feel the weird. My husband feel the taste is bad. So he jz one bite & leave it to me. I said that the cheese cake seemed to contain lemon juice. I didn’t care so much I thought maybe the cake in this cafe were not delicious only. As a result, the whole piece was eaten by me. Within half an hour, my stomach suddenly hurt to the point of cramps, I had cold sweats, and it was painful to walk. At that time, I felt that there must be something wrong with the cake, and in the same time I really wanted to go back to the coffee shop to check with the stuffs, or ask the stuffs to try it for her/himself. But I was really in too much pain, so I had to leave quickly. I knw even if I went back to the cafe I couldn't talk to them as well at this condition, cause really too suffer. Until nw I'm still vomiting! 😮‍💨 Not sure is it got other people same like me? cause today business look good too. Please make sure the food quality is there, else make people suddenly sick for no reason. We spend money to buy coffee & dessert is for enjoy. Not for suffering. Extremely overpriced for subpar quality. Perhaps it is simply famous for coffee and should stick to just that as the food is an extreme disappointment for the price tag. The Gochujang Tuna Toast as pictured cost RM20 and only a single slice constituted the entire portion. The cherry tomatoes were unseasoned and the tuna was fairly bland (dare I say, Ayam Brand tuna mayo has more spice than the tuna served here). Given the height of the tomato mountain, it was a challenge to eat easily and surely was not worth the premium price tag. The curly fries with truffle oil (and what I assume is some sort of truffle powder) were overcooked and also underseasoned (price tag: RM20 for an approximately two cup portion of fries). Didn't snap a picture of the shakshuka (RM21) which did seem a better portion than the tuna toast but flavour was just so-so (like baked beans). Overall, the newly launched food menu is hardly worth the price that is being charged. Stick to just drinks and dessert to avoid...
