Häagen-Dazs — Restaurant in George Town

I’ve always loved Häagen-Dazs. It’s one of those brands you can count on — premium ice cream, a bit posh, a safe move on a hot day. So I dropped by this branch expecting the usual magic. And what did I get? A big fat meh.

The service was fine. No complaints there — polite, efficient, did what they had to do. But the product? Mate. The ice cream was alright, but the chocolate coating… felt like chewing a sheet of edible plastic. Zero melt, no proper chocolate snap, just this weird, waxy thing pretending to be fancy. I’ve had better chocolate on a petrol station drumstick.

When I walked in to the store, it was full of customers and there is only one table left but the upstairs section was remained closed although customer keep walk in. I was there to redeem my Lazada ice cream voucher and plan to dine in but I was told we are not allow for dine in, we need to take away. It doesn't make sense to me so I checked the term and condition, it was clearly stated the voucher is valid for dine in or take away, so why they want to liar to us? Is it due to we are purchased the offer voucher compare to those walk in customer? Hello Haagen Dazs, is it the way you treat your customers? Service was very slow with 3 staffs at the counter , 3 tables including ours, one alreasy finished, another waiting for their orders . I was not aware we have to be seated to have our order taken, while seated nobody approached , after a while of waiting , I went up only saw one of the staff brought the menu walking towards us . Ordered capachinno n coffee latte . For that kind of price , it was the worst coffee I have ever had , it tasted more like milk with slight flavoring coffee smell.
