Tucked away on Jalan Datok Keramat (just opposite Star View Restaurant 仙景楼, formerly the old Federal Theater), this traditional Kopitiam might seem quiet & unassuming, but it was packed with delicious food!

The Hokkien Mee, confirmed a standout, with its rich & flavorful broth. A must try! Hokkien Mee stall is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays.

Lam Mee sold out by 10am... Gotta catch it early.

Char Koay Teow was crowd's favorite! It was served with juicy prawns & fresh cockles, making it an absolute treat 😋

And for fans of KL-style Hokkien Char, 福建炒 (also known as Tai Lok Mee), must check this out! This particular stall was the one previously selling on the opposite Kopitiam. They have moved here. Selling for breakfast & lunch now.

The char koay teow is not bad, but the service is terrible. We were standing there for a few minutes, waiting for the staff to clean the table, but no one seemed to care. When we asked the boss, who was busy counting coins, to help us clean the table, he told us to do it ourselves. The boss just kept counting his coins and ignored us while we were cleaning the table. I swear he kept peeking at us but chose to ignore us. Then, when the waiter finally came to us, she saw we were still cleaning the table. We asked her to clean it, but she ignored us and just asked what beverage we...

After morning walk, try out the new stall at Khoon Hiang Kopitiam. Mee Xiua Kor/oyster vermicelli and fried oyster noodle. Nice yummy dish. I love the taste and the flavour. Just a pity their pork lard just finished. Or else will be perfect 👍👍👍👍 All the ingredients are very fresh and the size of the oyster just nice for the both noodles. RM10 each. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Apparently the much-hyped (and much-beloved) Siam Road uncle char kuay teow is no longer as good as it used to be; uncle has retired and the people who have taken over the stall aren't up to standard. This is a pretty good substitute. Smoky, fragrant kuay teow cooked with duck egg, fat and juicy prawns, plenty of lup cheong and pork lard make this a sinful but delicious dish.
