For You Yen Vegetarian Center — Restaurant in George Town

Today, I have a craving for vegetarian food. Especially during the Nine Emperor Gods Festival. I have tried numerous dishes from For You Yen. Food always good and consistent.

For an afternoon snack, I want to try their new bao. The steamed preserved mustard green and char siu bao bun along with their new petite size kuih wrapped with coconut and bean paste.

Both were delicious, the skin of the kuih was soft and chewy and the paste is nice and not overly sweet. I can't wait to share with parents. They like them a lot.

Had the steamboat here. RM100 for 5 ppl, and RM50 for 3 ppl. Did not think it was worthwhile for that price. Taste wise was ok, had to add on rice as noodles provided was not enough. Added on sweet sour veg, considered this as expensive at RM18 as well. But taste wise ok as well. Barely any sides, have to request for sides like sambal, barely a tablespoon was given only.
