It was my fourth visit (Le Dux Patisserie) in TWO WEEKS and I just love ❤️ popping up there whenever I am in need of fantastic quality croissants. 🥐 pairing it with an extra hot freshly brewed coffee.

Penang is one of the lovely 🥰 state that fill with abundance of great street hawker(s) food as well as some prominent astounding patisserie cafes.
Belle Tan (Phey Phey) was graduated from Le Cordon Blue Oz close to a decade ago. She is the owner and pastry chef of Le Dux Patisserie located in the heritage enclave in Georgetown.
Croissants 🥐 and all other pastry baked by her and team are superb tasty from inside out or outside in. Furthermore, the prices are incredibly cheap too.
We had SIX croissants 🥐 and TWO coffees yet still less than 85 rm. it’s challenging for you to get such good bargain in Georgetown nowadays looking at the prices of the raw ingredients.

Read moreLove this place! The classic/ plain croissants are the star of the show, just the right level of crispness and soft, buttery interior. Bear in mind they only bake a limited amount of croissants per day, I was there early at about 10am and the croissants have completely sold out (just a telling of how good they are!).
The almond croissants and pain au chocolat come in a close second, the frangipane filling in the almond croissant is not too sweet and very generous as well. The outer crusts are just as flaky and shatter into delicate shards as you bite into them.
We also tried the tiramisu edible cup. Perfect balance of taste from the espresso, chocolate and mascarpone cheese. It was a fun treat to break the chocolate cup and dip into the tiramisu inside.
Atmosphere is good. Despite the unassuming exterior. Inside the cafe, it reveals a warm, inviting space with natural light from the high ceiling. You can also see chef (Chef Belle) working her way about the pastries in the glass enclosure and sometimes she will come to greet you personally.
Service is great - the staffs are friendly and always eager to assist. The WiFi is good as I managed to work on my laptop without any issues.
