I came to this so-called “French-inspired” cafe yesterday, and honestly, the experience was off to a terrible start the moment I walked in. Behind the counter was a guy in a black t-shirt who couldn’t be bothered to say welcome. His presence alone sucked the energy out of the place cold, unapproachable, and completely disinterested. If he hates being there so much, maybe he shouldn’t be.

Later on, I realize from upstairs, he was in short pants, no less. Yes, you read that right short pants, in a supposedly “aesthetic” cafe setting. He looked like he just rolled out of bed and decided to play bartender for fun. No professionalism, no basic courtesy, and certainly no pride in what he was doing. It was genuinely uncomfortable to watch him ignore every customer that walked in, like we were all inconveniencing him

I was pleasantly surprised by the service, a foreigner (i assume) who is a waiter greeted me with a big smile, An ang mo kinda looking girl and an brown haired indian guy (not being racist) attended to me, and they were fantastic friendly, attentive, and clearly trying to create a positive experience. They honestly saved the visit. They are the only one who were smiled to everyone!!!

But even then, there are serious operational issues. There’s no pastry menu upstairs, so if you’re seated there, you have to walk all the way downstairs just to see what’s available. For a place trying to present itself as aesthetic and refined, the layout and service flow feel half-baked.

Please also add more items in the menu. Its awful. On the other hand the food tasted good and i salute the chef for doing a...

Disappointing Experience Le Litchi

I visited this French-inspired wannabe cafe with friends, and our experience was a letdown from start to finish. The service was abysmal - rude and unprofessional.

Upon entering, we weren't greeted, so we seated ourselves, only to be redirected to the front by a waitress. A tiny sign, tucked away in a corner, outlined the 'wait to be seated' policy.

The menu was surprisingly limited, with very few options for mains and cakes. We wanted to order more mains, but the small portions at other tables deterred us. To make matters worse, the prices were exorbitant, making it difficult to justify ordering more. We settled for four pastries and three drinks instead.

The pastry quality was mediocre, as they weren't thoroughly warmed, but tasted reasonable. The drinks, particularly the coffee, were underwhelming and overpriced.

When we politely asked to move to a newly vacated table with more comfortable seats, the waiter responded with disdain, glaring and giving crude replies.

This unacceptable behavior left us feeling slighted and unwelcome. I even forgo my takeaways of more pastries. The only redeeming aspect was the cafe's blasting AC, a relief on a hot day.

In summary, our experience was marred by poor service, limited menu options, and subpar quality. With many other cafes offering better pastries and service, we won't return or...

I understand that you’re currently in soft launching mode but u let your customer up and down to order a food? Can the staff well training? I was alone and already take a seat at the 2nd floor. Asking for a menu to order and the staff said was no lunch today and ask me to order the pastry at the counter downstairs. Ok, i queue for nothing bcz there was out of pastry and the counter staff didn’t inform customers and keep talking to the customer in front of him. Hello? Shud you inform the customer who queuing 1st? Bcz we are queuing to order. U just wasting our time! And then i asking one of the staff then she only told me out of pastry but i can order a lunch. I was curious bcz the staff upstairs was told me no lunch today! After confirming and it’s my turn to take order and the counter staff said there shud be got ppl to take order from me if my seat is at upstairs and ask me to go upstairs again. Ok, i go upstairs and still the same staff serve me and she is still saying no lunch! What kind of restaurant is this? I was in the restaurant half and hours and i was order nothing and i left. They still fully charge me my coffee instead of giving some discount for sorry🙄 what a very bad experience! PS: their price is almost casual dining but the...

I had been looking forward to going to Le Litchi and finally went on Valentine's Day and I'm so glad I did. The food was delicious and the service was great! The seasonal crab kombu risotto was delicious and I ate it all. Rangers Valley, Australia The wagyu rib eye steak was tender and went really well with the sauce and vegetables. It was cooked just right and tasted amazing. We ordered the blue mussels in white wine sauce which is a must try if you are a mussel lover and I recommend, my wife loved the beetroot carpaccio and the sherry slow cooked porcini soup was delicious as well. To be honest, everything was delicious and I can't wait to go back again. We ended up ordering the French red wine poached apples for dessert. Overall rating is 10/10. Worth coming back! We love this place because they offer more than just the typical dishes. Some of the dishes did feel a little pricey but we enjoyed them so much so it was worth it.

Quite cozy and nice environment over here The pastry it's okay but for the bagel it's quite hard to bite. I'll recommend this french style cafe if you like to enjoy alone time. The coffee beans choices are good especially the house blends ones. And for the services it's quite okay but short of manpower to serve. For the order system I'll recommend to do a QR system for customers to order at the table instead of going to the counter. Especially when you're at second floor you need to go downstairs to order and come up again. Overall it's definitely a good french style deco cafe! I'll recommend!!! And for the baristas it's quite good looking and tidy keep it up!
