Tak Bo Restaurant — Restaurant in George Town

Very disappointing experience. In my opinion, the food was not nice — the spicy wantan spicy tasted like plain soup with just chili powder added.

To make things worse, I discovered an INSECT in the dessert - see the photo attached. When I told the waitress, she simply took it back, removed the insect, and returned the same dessert instead of preparing a new one. I asked the waitress if she was to make a new one, she said : 我帮你处理一下 (I help you manage). Taking out the insect was how she managed it. Absolutely unacceptable, unethical even.

The boss (I suspect) was sitting at the back, avoiding eye contact and not offering any apology. In my opinion, this shows very poor management. To top it off, the waitress even asked if we wanted to order another drink — as if nothing had happened.

Poor hygiene, poor service, no courtesy and no sense of accountability. Definitely not...

-quite fast service, scan to order, menu has English. -Xiao long bao ok, average -Fried rice ok not bad not great but at least follow the note less salty. Salty even selected less salty, less oil options. We ordered 2 stir-fry garlic dishes with the note less salty and less oil since we are wared of Chinese restaurant cooking is normally very salty and oily. However, the veggies dishes are still very salty.

Juice is fresh and followed notes with no sugar or ice.

The first lady is quite fast but not friendly, like robot, not sure what type of customer service is that. I aked for a small bowl, she heard but no reply until I stood up rather want to take myself then she used her hand toward me like stop signal and said wait. This is why I left them 3...

Some misses for some of the food.

The fried xiao long bao is good, but can be more cripsy, the filling taste very nice.

The sauce for the sze chuan chicken is very nice, and chicken is well cooked just nice and tender.

The soup dumpling (xiao long bao) the skin not smooth enough, the sauce in the dumpling is too salty. This is a miss.

The pan fried pancake, is very Cripsy. However is too Cripsy, that it had cover the softness of the dough within the pan cake, thus it become too dull and hard at the edge of the pancake.

Skewers average, nothing too special.
