We dined at Miga last weekend with 3 adults and 3 children (ages 3, 5, and 10). We ordered a dinner set for around RM120 (3-pax portions). The food was delicious, but we had an unexpected experience that slightly dampened our evening.

After refilling the kimchi and egg side dishes three times, the boss approached and stop us. We weren’t upset but felt a bit embarrassed, as we didn’t know there were limits on refills. We understand that side dishes come at a cost and can affect profits, and we certainly respect that.

However, we wanted to highlight that most of the food are quite spicy and not very kid-friendly. Often, kids join their parents at Korean restaurants because the adults are craving the food, so they are there only joining for fun or eating white rice 😅 (my kids), they are not there to eat the side dishes. If additional refills are a concern, perhaps the restaurant could consider charging for them or clearly stating refill policies on the menu to avoid any confusion.

Overall, we enjoyed the food, but this experience took away some of the joy that night. We still look forward to visiting again and hope for a smoother...

Not bad. Generous portions. They have some set lunch sets for RM15.90 (This compares favourably to their competitor nearby e.g. Ssambap which charges about RM20). I tried the L4 Nakji Deopbap (Squid & veggies on a hotplate. Rice included, topped with sesame seeds). Very flavorful. Kimchi (lots of variety & good taste - better than competitor Ssambap, IMHO) is complimentary. Water is also complimentary. A small serving of watermelon for dessert comes with the set. My lunch friend tried the N8 kimchi Jjigae (kimchi in spicy hotpot / soup) but he claimed the L4 (Nakji Deopbap) was better. It seems that on a previous visit the N8 was less salty. Decor is average good. Service prompt. Summary: excellent value for lunch. Some dishes very tasty. Recommendation: what are you waiting for? Hi check it out for their...

Waited for whole hour during non peak hour(there's only 2 table that came before us).

Get served with wrong food, we ordered BBQ which has a minimum order to get BBQ served on table but end up they served cooked food after waiting for a whole hour starving and only to explain say they not enough manpower to make it BBQ.(I don't get it why needing manpower as we ordering BBQ dish to make it ourselves)

So what's the point asking us to order minimum order to make it BBQ by the table? And this is the first Korean restaurant that serve no any sides dish and titbits while you're waiting..

Lesson learnt, don't get fooled by the pictures and review and deciding to visit as the side dish will only be served when they have...

The food quality is ok. They have the usual Korean dishes (bbq to soup) known to the locals. You can choose to have the bbq prepared by them in the kitchen or on the table grill. There's no suction duct from the ceiling but should have ventilation fans on the ceiling. There's no fancy environment. The place is a bit dated as it's been the same since opening. Give it a try if you are in the area for Korean food. Other options are Bibimbowl at Summerton (no bbq, just set meals or alarm carte), Hanmalu at Q2 (bbq, upscale with newer environment), Ssambap at Krystal Point (roughly the same, but without private rooms for bigger groups). There are couple more (non-bbq) inside Queensbay Mall.

I’m Korean and this is actually my first time ordering Korean food after staying here for two months. While it was quite easy to find decent Korean restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, it’s been a bit more difficult in Penang. I saw that the reviews were pretty good, so I decided to give it a try—and wow, it was amazing. The taste was about 90% similar to what I’d get back in Korea, which was really impressive—especially for delivery. They even included five side dishes and a bowl of seaweed soup! The price was just a little over 20 ringgit, which I found very reasonable. I’ve been seriously craving Korean food lately, and I think I’ll be ordering from here quite often after work. 🤤🤤
