LENG CHEE KANG stall , a stall that you MUST watch out / keep away !! We back to Penang for holiday visiting family and we've been ordered the dessert via the male foreigner (server) several times and everything was good in the beginning until yesterday. The beverage server refused to take our dessert order on behalf and requested us go to the stall personally.
The trick comes when my hubby place the order at the dessert stall , the lady straight away ask my hubby for payment of 2 bowls leng chee ksng , RM8.40 and she told him that she will deliver later. No receipt issue upon payment made.
When the lady deliver to our table 85, she puts down 2 bowls of leng chee kang and told me RM8.40 please? I make payment and my hubby wasn't around as busily hunting for other foodies. It comes to my surprised when we reorder the dessert and my hubby said, I've done the payment at the stall, and we are all shocked what ??? We told the lady and she's fierce and firm that she doesn't collect the money from me!?? My bil n my mil were there to witness and what will u react if you're me?
My hubby confronted me, r u serious you've made the payment and I replied YES! And the lady denied by telling us I just left the dessert without asking for payment. I knew she's cheating as a customer n not to spolit our trip, we again double paid RM8.40 to her again. I knew she might trying to malign n testing our memory on most of the customer who tends to forget while chatting and waiting for foods, and nobody knows each other has made the payment upfront at the stall, which is not the...

I didn't count but it should be from approximation at least 40-50 Penang style street food stalls. Impressive, crowded with foodie addicts enjoying whatever they fancy ordering from savoury to sweet mouth watering desserts. Vendors mainly chinese but a very limited mix of mamak to vietnamese. I also saw japanese bentos to nyonya kueh just too many to detail. Again parking nightmare as usual to locate emptied spot. We were in a group of 16 (had to couple 2 round metal tables to accommodate) so a variety of cuisine were ordered but not everything was tasty as we sampled each individually for flavour, quantity & pricing. So don't make assumptions until trying out than comment. We sat down to almost closing time chatting, recalling our younger experiences as teens, telling each other stories about our families until the days' exhaustion took over & it was time to...
