The Original Mikki Western Cuisine (Golden Triangle) — Restaurant in George Town

I'll be breaking my review into three parts:

Limited food choices We spent time looking through the menu, and went to the counter to order. But guess what? More than half of the food and drinks we ordered were not available. I ordered their tomato soup set that's supposed to come with 2 sourdough toasts. But they said there was no toast available, and they said they're willing to serve just the tomato soup. But I still had to pay the full amount. Of course, I chose something else. I chose the rice set that's supposed to come with drinks, and again, they didn't have the drinks I wanted, and only had one option left. I opted for ala carte and ordered pasta, with a chocolate drink in the end. It took them to serve other tables that arrived after us, for my pathetic looking chocolate drink to arrive.

Food wasn't fresh After encountering their bad service, I went on Google to look at their reviews. I saw a few reviews saying their food wasn't fresh, and prayed mine was okay. Luckily, only the fries tasted off.

Bad service She slammed the plates when serving my food, and threw the straws on the table.

Definitely not...

We used to lunch at Golden Triangle 2. Today we walked across to Triangle 1 and chance upon Mikki Western Food. It's already past lunch hour. Tried the Kerabu Mango Chicken Chop and Fried Fish Chilli Mayo rice set. Both were well prepared. The fried fish rice set was better as the chicken chop was a little too dry. The honey lemon cold drink and mangosteen drink tasted very nice. Something different indeed. Recommended to try! We'll come again in our next trip for other dishes. Thanks...

Creamy Carbonara with Smoked Duck is extremely good. It's rich with cheese & thick gravy. The duck is very tender and juicy. Portion is just enough for a female adult. Highly recommended. Other than western food, they also serve several types of nasi ayam. Came around 1130 weekday, not occupied so less waiting time. Appreciate it. The shop itself is spacious & clean & well ventilated.
